I am a return customer, because of the quality of the coffee beans Pine Tea has, loved their coffee Beans, and I was with Nick today, great customer services and friendly, love this place. Highly recommended if you wish to start the day off with a great coffee or/and tea.
Edit: A quite disappointing day became worse after I visited the store. In general, I still like the store, and I spend $150–$400 each time I visit. But there is a lady who always wants to charge more when she knows a staff member has to grind the coffee beans. Before purchasing, I gave clear instructions for the coffee I wanted, with grinding assistance; it was confirmed the discount percentage would be the same. When paying for the coffee, she decided to take away a 5% discount (previously she would take away all discounts) because I asked for grinding assistance, while there was no information displayed stating that ground coffee would affect the discount. If I had been told I would lose a 5% discount with grinding assistance, and I agreed to it, that is all fine, not a problem at all.
I buy a large amount of coffee due to the store's promotional display, and while I checked with the staff that, with grinding assistance, the discount would remain the same, I don't think it is right to change the discount percentage just before paying.
It is dishonest and betrayal.
May I suggest putting Nick at the front counter? His customer service, friendliness, and professionalism are so much better, and...
Read moreLocated in an industrial area this shop is definitely one that you cant judge by its cover (or website). Clayton is a master roaster who after 35 years of roasting really knows how to make a great roasted blend. Luckily I am not the only one who thinks that as evident by all the awards he keeps on receiving.
I normally rotate between his popular blends and then mix it up with a new concoction he has made up or a single origin he has just roasted. The coffee always consistently delivers.
Clayton is happy to share his knowledge and talk coffee with you, and his staff are also excellent in knowledge and service.
When in the shop, take a look through the back window where you can see his bean storage and a giant roaster.
There is also a wide selection of teas and other related items but being not much of a tea drinker I cant comment on quality.
Pricing is similar to other premium roasters with some blends being a couple of dollars higher but nothing too over the top.
If you fancy yourself as a home barista, its well worth putting some of his blends through...
Read moreFirst time here looking for good, freshly roasted coffee. The boss served me, Clayton is his name. I told him what I liked and he made a recommendation but said I should only buy 250gms and when that is finished buy a different coffee. It all made sense so I took a sealed pack home. Watch this space for my review of the coffee. Oh yes, they have coffee machines, lots of and heaps of tea and many other things of drinking interest. It is definitely worth a look-see, you won't be disappointed. 24/07/23 I have now had four packs of coffee from Pine Tea & Coffee in Castle hill. The Original Blend is excellent and so far is all I buy as it ticks all the boxes for my taste buds. Thank you Clayton and...
