We had our son's 10th birthday party here yesterday and I'm sad to say I was very disappointed in the whole experience. We booked weeks in advance and even paid a deposit at the time. The party kids all arrived on time and our party host (I won't mention his name) had no information about the payment we made due to lack of communication, therefore he wouldn't start the activities until we paid so my husband sorted it out with the front desk. This made the whole thing start half an hour late and during the bowling the host kept asking me several times what the time was and each time he looked frustrated because he had to go and push everything else back. So the kids rushed their game and went to laser tag. When it came time to eat literally 5 mins after the kids food came out the host wanted to bring the cakes out (we also had a cake for my niece which I called beforehand to make sure it was OK if we did 2 cakes and they said it was fine, no problem).
The host did not want to wait for my niece to come back from the bathroom and lit up both cakes until the candles were melted. So we rushed singing happy birthday and only cut my sons cake. The whole experience felt so rushed even though I asked the host why he was rushing for and if there was another party after ours. He went to check and said he didn't know but we had to be finished by 4pm (party started at 1pm but of course we were delayed). Then he changed his mind and said there was a party at our table after us although I never saw anyone sitting there after we had cleared out. There was no patience at all and the whole thing was just so stressful. The kids had a great time with the activities but we thought it would be a stress free party and that's why we booked there, so a host could take over instead of us for once.
Would definitely never have another party here again after this time and the amount we had to spend just to be rushed the whole time was absolutely ridiculous! Zone bowling I suggest you train your staff to be patient when it comes to kids birthday parties and be better prepared for when delays happen. Maybe work on communicating things to them before a party starts so nothing comes as a surprise like what happened with...
Read moreWe have been having party at Zone Bowling for the last few years. But this year, we had the best experience even though we had a group of 12 bubbling teenagers.
It was in great part due to our excellent party host (Lila). She was pleasant, polite & understanding. Lila saw to it that all activities flowed smoothly one after the other. Organising water for children during bowling was a sweet gesture as they were getting thirsty.
Unlike last year, this year we were allocated a spot in the bigger room, fit for teenagers. There was ample space for children to eat their meals & for cake cutting. The hosts planned well amongst themselves, so there weren’t more than one or two parties at the same time, so there was enough space for all.
We had ordered vegetarian food platters from the kitchen which were delicious, fresh & good portions. Enough for seconds for all.
The team at the main counter & manager of the day were also very pleasant. There was some issue with billing & eptos machine but the manager resolved it promptly.
All the children after bowling were allowed to pick a novelty toy after their session which was a welcome change as no one felt left behind. There was a smooth transition from bowling to laser tag as it was a 2-pin party. Host took time to give clear instructions.
Arcade time was wonderful too. They seem to have added more games compared to last year. There was also a person on site who was able to fix if any game developed any issue which was great.
Overall, everyone had a great time. Good party host & clear communication made such a massive improvement from last year. Kudos to the management for having such a great team who do their work with love & passion, going out of their ways to make it special for the birthday child &...
Read moreAfter years of driving past this place, we finally decided to stop by and enjoy some fun with the kids. It's conveniently located near another popular spot called "Lolly Pops." If you have children, you're probably familiar with it. This venue is easy to find—just behind Bunnings in the main industrial area of Castle Hill, off Showground Road. Parking is plentiful, and the venue feels welcoming as soon as you step inside.
Upon entering, you're greeted by rows of video game machines, about 20 lanes of bowling, and a restaurant. Some standout features include lockers for storage and two dedicated party rooms, perfect for hosting kids' celebrations. They’ve really thought of everything!
The experience itself is versatile and fun. Start with bowling, then move on to the arcade games, and finish with a meal. Just one tip: avoid eating chips while bowling. Every time you touch the bowling ball and then grab a snack, you’re transferring germs. Instead, focus on one activity at a time and wash your hands in between. This small habit will make the outing more enjoyable and hygienic.
The venue caters well to all skill levels. They offer bumper rails and ramps, so even beginners or younger kids can have fun without worrying about technique. If the kids lose interest in bowling after a few rounds, they can easily switch to playing video games. The arcade games are reasonably priced—not too expensive, but not overly cheap—and you can redeem your winnings for lollies, adding an extra treat to the experience.
Overall, it's a fantastic day out for families. Whether you’re bowling, playing arcade games, or just hanging out, there’s something for everyone. It's a fun, laid-back spot that kids of all ages will enjoy. Highly recommended for a...
