Unfortunately had a bad experience here on Mother's Day yesterday. I made a booking here for brunch for 3 people after seeing the great reviews online. After ordering and paying, we waited for a total of 1 hour for our food that never came.
After the first 30-40mins of waiting, I got up and asked at the counter to double check if our food would be on it's way. The staff member popped into the kitchen and came back to me confirming that it was. I figured they were quite busy so sat back down to wait a little bit longer. More time passed and my mum herself, quite upset, went back in to enquire about our order as the wait was no longer acceptable/understandable. We ordered at exactly 11:26 and it was then 12:22. We then discover that our order was never actually received by the kitchen.
What was most upsetting about our experience here is that the staff, while they walked around us serving other tables, did not check up on us even once while we sat there waiting for an hour without any food on our table. We had to go in to check for ourselves, and then the staff honestly did not seem very apologetic or sympathetic that they wasted so much of our time. They gave us our money back which may compensate for not receiving our order, but we were not offered any kind of compensation for the hour of our day lost waiting around for nothing (without any customer/table service).
Luckily, we were able to find another place for lunch in the area that was able to seat us without a booking. They had great food and friendly, timely service that was thankfully able to really turn our day around. I hope that Platform T8 can be more attentive towards their customers and avoid misplacing their orders so that no other customers have to go through the same unfortunate experience...

To begin with, each and every staff member is so effortlessly and utterly charming. Their warmth and authenticity is a highlight of my mornings and I feel so genuinely seen and welcomed by them each and every day.
The genuine and organic atmosphere they have cultivated has attracted a vast array of local characters that make my morning coffee run a delightful, and often eccentric experience. The staff and my fellow patrons feel so comfortable here, and this provides an opportunity to forge genuine connections and discuss our lives in a way that is becoming increasingly scarce in these troubled times.
One could certainly comment on the circus-like qualities of this atmosphere, and they would be absolutely correct. People love the circus. A coffee can be procured at every corner of every town, but people come here because the attitude of the staff and the social milieu they encourage is joyful.

However, the service and wait time wasn’t the best. I was given a table number after I placed my order. A couple minutes later, an employee (different to the one who took my order), took the number from my table without asking if I was waiting on something; so there was some confusion once my order was ready as they couldn’t remember who it was for.
In addition, I sat near the register and witnessed through different groups of people having to follow up on their order because of how long they were waiting. One couple that had ordered before me still didn’t get their order even after I finished eating - it turned out that their order ticket somehow had made its way into the bin. And another group had their order ready for a while but it was just sitting under the heat lamps and no one had brought it to them until they asked where their food was.
Quite disappointed as I did enjoy the food and thought it was quite yummy, but the employees just seemed disorganised and they weren’t communicating...
