Preston Village Takeaway — Restaurant in Sydney

Got the burger with the lot, chips and potato scallops. The burger was great and tasted fresh. I personally prefer milk/potato buns as opposed to regular buns as they don’t seem to disintegrate in your hands before you take your first bite.

The potato scallops were crispy and had a nice batter, the chips were also decently crispy. Unfortunately, the scallops and chips were super oily. I think it’s coz there was only one guy behind the counter and the shop was getting quite busy and so they might have been left in the oil a tad longer than required.

Everyone was served on a first in first serve basis no matter the size of the order.

Customer service was actually amazing! very friendly and efficient. Food came out in a timely manner considering how busy it got.

Avoid the grilled chicken burger, the chicken was burnt. But he did give me a replacement.

He forgot my order, missing an item ordered.

Owner was running the shop by himself so I can understand why he was slow. However, I received a black covered piece of chicken. When I confronted him, he said "It's just spicy". Eventually he acknowledged that its hard for him to do because the grill is too hot. You would be better off removing this item from your menu or have a section of his grill on a lower heat.

Also, please offer tissues with any ordered item especially a burger.

Have been buying food from this shop for almost 20 years and today they where going to charge me 50 cents surcharge because I was paying eftpos when I asked about why they started abusing me I have known this family for years the level of attack was out of control they kept abusing me well after I walk out firstly surcharge on eftpos cannot be more than the fees charged by the bank $6.50 should of been 6 cents not 50 cents it’s not about the money it’s about the arrogance Won’t see me again So I went next door ordered a $8.00 pizza no surcharge and went to the bread shop and spent $3.00 no surcharge If you want to stick to people because you can...
