The worst restaurant I have ever dined at because the food just made us lose our appetite. Firstly, we ordered over $60 worth of food between two people, which included two soups, a curry, a lettuce wrap and a congee and left everything untouched apart from one of the soups and half of the curry. One of the soups was so strong it tasted like drinking soy sauce (and I am not exaggerating), the congee tasted so bland there was no flavour at all so it tasted like I was just sipping rice and the curry didn’t look or taste too great but was an edible dish. I understand this is a seafood restaurant but it’s unreasonable to put so many items on the menu if you can’t cook it to even the standard where I am willing to eat more than one bite whilst hungry. Service was ok and the complimentary tea were the only positives.

Great service and great food. They obviously know what they are doing and have been there for a long time. The dishes are just the way you expect. Come here if you have a particular craving for crab noodles (to die for) and $1 abalones..But not before complimentary soup broth with "queen of nights" 夜花女王..Complimentary red bean congee and sliced oranges for desserts (traditionally served at these types of restaurants). It's better when some things never change..like this place.

Bad food. Green veggies was over cooked, you can't expect a dish look like this from a restaurant...deep fried buns were totally soft, and saw squashed insect body outside of the steamer of rice cakes for Peking duck...We all got upset belly after the dinner. I normally have high tolerance for foods, but will def not go back again to this one.

It was friend's recommendation as good Chinese food in Beverly Hill. It was also the first and last time I would visit this place. I don't mind pricey food if it's good but super rude customer service you received, it' unacceptable, not worth even one star review. Especially, the old lady with glasses, we asked for soy sauce and chilli for 15 minutes, repeated again when she came back, she just walked away when we haven't finished the request. OK, we asked other staff if she was busy with only 3 tables on Monday night including us. 5 minutes later, she came back with that sauce and just threw it on the table. We asked if she feel ok, she shook her head, frowning and said NO to us. She hardly attended to our table again. We didn't feel like eating at all after. The whole thing was just...

Rising Sun is a hidden gem - a real if you know, you know type of place. The seafood is always super fresh with the sweetest mud crabs and lobster, bouncy scallops and abalone. The service is immaculate too! As a non-Chinese speaker the wait staff are always happy to take the extra time to explain or tweak dishes to our preference.

Have been 4 times now and it has been perfect each time! The claypot mudcrab with vermicelli, Peking porkchop, xo pipi with crunchy noodles, and steamed scallops with ginger and shallot are must-order items!

Parking can be a little confusing (you have to loop around the block from the main street to access the parking lot) but it is so so so worth it. My fave Chinese seafood...
