Rose Bay Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

A nice little Rose Bay cafe that harkens to the areas post-war central European refugee heritage.

The staff was friendly and professional. The drinks are perfectly nice, and there is a good selection of old world nibbles and small deserts in the classic Cafe style. The breakfast selection is not as large as the online menu any more, but the Shakshuka was very satisfying with perfect eggs and seasoned just spicy enough.

To note though is the prices are pretty steep when it comes to sides, and not especially in par with the quality of drinks. Also the space is a bit drafty, so even a couple of tables away from the front door had biting cold wind chilling the knees, so in winter try to get...

Me and my partner went for breakfast, we both ordered the big breakfast. They had no sausage which we were not told until after we ordered, we also did not get the advertised three bits of focaccia and we’re not told at all that we would instead be getting 1 slice of toast. And on top of that, there was a hair in my food, a HAIR! my partner ordered the scrambled eggs, he requested one extra egg as compensation for the lack of sausage, he then received A small portion of eggs that looked and tasted watered down. EUROPAN NOT ROSE BAKEHOUSE!!! 18 February 2021. This review was not for Rose Bakehouse but for the coffee shop that was in the premises before it. Europan. I have only just seen the review. The wrong name is unfortunate as Rose Bakehouse is very good. Clean. Friendly staff.
