I've visited here under recommendation by a friend as I study nearby. The first time, I had arrived very late (~2pm) and the bread roll of my normal pork banh mi was disappointing, it had staled and lacked bite. The filling itself was average (but the pickled daikon was an excellent touch). I thought I would be fair and give it another chance today - this time I arrived around 12:30pm (I'd consider that a standard lunch time). I ordered the BBQ pork banh mi this time ($7.90). Although the BBQ pork was absolutely delicious, once again the bread wasn't crispy and fresh-textured. It's an important component that when lacking, really makes this place miss the mark. Ordered no onions but the server added onions, read the order notes ‘no onions’ & knowingly still tried to give it to me. I said ‘I can’t eat that’, so she picked out some of the onions from the food rather than making a fresh one. It still had onions in it.
There are other Vietnamese nearby such as Roll’d and Jland that provide better customer service
