TLDR : chill staff, strong good coffee, good pho, affordable prices. $21 got me a regular sized beef pho and a Vietnamese coffee. Was a bit sad at the coffee size til I had a sip. It's very strong, any bigger and you'd perish. (Coffee was delicious) Pho is pretty affordable and tastes really good. But also it's hard to go wrong with pho. Reasonable 5-7 min wait as they prepped an order before me + my order. Staff on shift were chill which was nice cause I went in with anxiety currently running at full force. Anyway remember to be considerate when ordering from places and talking to staff. Dealing with customers all day can be really stressful.

Sorry to slam dunk on this place but we had a pork roll today and it was shocking - literally just lettuce, bits of chilli and tiny pieces of pork. That is in no shape or form a Vietnamese roll! A Vietnamese roll consists of Vietnamese cold cuts, coriander, cucumber, chili, pickled carrots and daikon, along with condiments such as pâté and mayonnaise. This definitely wasn't it. The only positive was the bread - it was warm and tasty, that's the one star. The rest - shocking. If we hadn't driven away I would have returned to ask for money back. Never had a worse banh mi! Embarrassing.

A little gem of a restaurant. Fresh ingredients, a professional chef in the kitchen & Vietnamese cook, makes for good quality food. It's good value too (cheaper than the marrickville Vietnamese restaurants). Have tried most things on the menu and will be repeat customers for sure. They cater for dietary restrictions too such as gluten free, no onion or garlic. Also love the ambience of the place. Good music, wall plants, quaint little cosy restaurant where you can watch the street life of Glebe & good young vibe.

This was my first time at Saigon Summer and I came across it whilst walking down Glebe Point Rd looking for healthy lunch options.

I ordered the sugarcane prawn vermicelli bowl and a Viet iced coffee. The sugarcane prawn was great. Fresh homemade prawn mince wrapped around sugar cane pieces. Better than some Viet places that serve you the frozen variety and then charge you a bomb. This was the real deal. The shallot oil drizzled on top of my vermicelli bowl was also really good, full of flavour and zing. Overall enjoyed the meal and it hit the spot.

The iced Viet coffee was also really good. Not too sweet with the condensed milk and coffee balance just right. Again it hit the spot.

Service was friendly and attentive too.

Definitely...

A lovely little eatery, great atmosphere, fantastic food and quick service! The staff were super friendly - quick to say hello, genuinely warm and vibrant interactions.

Despite being busy when we arrived, wait time to order wasn't very long, and neither was the wait for food. Got the special Crispy pork bahn mi and the lemongrass chicken bahn mi.

Excellent flavours, good serve of fresh vegetables/fillings and the bread was a perfect combination of crisp on the outside, but warm and soft on the inside. No risk of stabbing your mouth on the first bite!

Very reasonable prices as well, would 100% go again. Highly recommend, well...
