I recently visited Simon's Cafe with my children. We had French Toast with added strawberries, banana bread and a hot chocolate. The food was all lovely, as it normally is. Personally I didn't like the marshmallows they put with the hot chocolate. They looked and tasted like something out of a 3yr old show bag. What's wrong with just getting the Pascal 'Big Softies'? The staff were accommodating and friendly. Overall we had a nice breaky out. The main thing that I want to make people aware of is that there is a hidden fee to use the EFTPOS facilities, even when selecting "savings". There is no sign at the register, the fee does not get disclosed on the screen of the EFTPOS machine until after the payment is made, and only some of the staff are aware of it. I actually asked if there was a fee, and had I known there was, I would've happily paid cash, which I carry specifically to avoid extra fees. The gentleman at the counter said that there was no fee and looked genuinely surprised when I checked the screen after the payment went through, and advised him that there was a fee. One of the girls said "oh it's like 0.1%" it's actually 1.5%. I'm happy to pay anything that I agree to, but an undisclosed charge of any sort is theft. As I waited for my refund, the lady who I assume is the manager, was muttering something about not charging me properly for strawberries. I'm not sure how much they charge for 3-4 small strawberries, but they surely can't charge more than what a whole punnet is worth. The gentleman who misinformed me actually paid the fee out of his own pocket so full credit to him taking responsibility for something that he wasn't aware of himself. Not exactly fair bit still a testament to his character. As I mentioned earlier, we had a nice breaky and I still consider Simon's as my go-to cafe in Windsor, to pay with cash. I just think that people should be told by someone about extra charges. A lot of places charge this now but it's supposed to...

I stumbled upon this hidden gem while searching for a cafe in the area, guided by some great Google reviews. Initially, I was disheartened by the menu options, as my autoimmune condition imposes several intolerances, leaving me with limited choices. However, when I voiced my concerns to the server( honestly expecting to hear sorry we can’t help ) I was pleasantly surprised by their genuine interest in helping me. The server promptly consulted with the kitchen staff, and to my delight, the owner and chef Morney emerged to personally address my dietary needs.

Morney's understanding of autoimmune conditions was evident as he meticulously scrutinized each ingredient to ensure it aligned with my dietary restrictions. Despite the bustling atmosphere, he took the time to craft a customized and delectable meal tailored specifically to my needs. The level of care and attention to detail was truly remarkable.

Not only was the food exceptional, but the ambiance of the cafe buzzed with warmth and hospitality. Despite the crowd, the staff efficiently managed the flow of customers, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. As someone who often struggles with dining out due to my condition, the experience at this cafe was nothing short of extraordinary. Morney and his team's dedication to customer satisfaction transformed what could have been a challenging dining experience into a memorable and enjoyable one. I left feeling not only satisfied but deeply grateful for their exceptional service and understanding. This cafe truly stands out as a beacon of inclusivity and culinary excellence. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a dining experience that goes above and beyond...

Sunday 10/9 @ 10 am The food was decent, but I can't help but express my frustration with the shockingly rude and unprofessional staff including management. They seemed utterly untrained and indifferent. When I requested to speak with the manager, she was too busy making coffee and never bothered to address our concerns. Despite having a sizable party of 11 people, we were told we couldn't split the bill, which felt like a disregard for our convenience. The entire service experience was a disaster, with staff displaying a level of rudeness that was truly appalling. One glaring example: Sara, who identified herself as a supervisor, had the audacity to reprimand my friend for simply speaking at a normal volume and don’t be rude after waiting for an excruciating hour and fifteen minutes for a basic ‘kids' breakfast of pancakes, bacon, and strawberries. We even had to resort to using forks as makeshift teaspoons because the waitress couldn't be bothered to provide them. When staff members are inadequately compensated, it unfortunately translates into a disappointing service experience, and that's precisely what we encountered. It was evident that the staff lacked proper training and had no grasp of their roles and responsibilities. Business owner, it's crucial that you address this ongoing issue. I've noticed numerous negative reviews from dissatisfied customers, and it seems that no action has been taken to rectify these concerns. Best of luck, as it appears you have quite a few unhappy patrons. Ps I’m still waiting for the manager this is so...

I have come down to Windsor for the weekend to to watch the speedboat on the river I have come across Simon’s cafe I had breakfast there I was so well treated and I got to meet the owner as well. I had a big breakfast which is in my photos and I would write Simon’s cafe the best in Windsor and from me that’s pretty big I give it a 10 out of 10 from the time I walked in to the time I left. I was well looked after the staff was great and the atmosphere is terrific. The breakfast was so nice. I had some scrambled eggs and I also have askedfor a poaching. The poached egg was done perfect. I would like to thank the owner for having the time to talk to me as well if you’re coming to Windsor calling at Symons Cafe have a coffee or a meal and enjoy thank you once again to all the staff for looking after me so well I would also like to add that it is dog friendly. You can come down with your puppy dog sit down and have breakfast or dinner and enjoy being with your Puppy while having your mail and I even have a noticed a little bowl for your Puppy as well from michael.

Went for lunch on a Sunday after visiting Windsor markets. They are right in the heart of the markets and seems to be a hit with both locals and tourists alike. Note that the kitchen closes at 2pm. We had our dog and pram with us and were seated almost immediately after we approached the little reception desk by the door. The staff were very friendly and attentive, getting us a highchair right away and even a water bowl for our dog without even asking. Definitely a dog friendly place as there were many other dog owners enjoying the outdoor area. They took our order table side and we had the double beef and bacon burger which was so good and the steak sandwich. The steak was a little tough to bite through but overall very tasty. And the chips were seasoned to perfection. The iced coffee and iced mocha were both heavy on cream. Our daughter also enjoyed the banana bread which was served toasted with some butter. Big thanks to the staff for looking after us so well and being in good spirits despite the busy, hot day.
