The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was also very clean and aesthetic. I would’ve given 5 stars if it weren’t for three things

The bread that comes with the zaatar labneh does not suit as it’s too crunchy and you can’t soak up all the labneh goodness with it! I think a change of the bread they supply (this was more like a breadstick consistency) does not suit well with the meal

The food took far far too long to come out. We waited approximately 28 minutes and they weren’t packed out.

We were served our chips a good 10-15 minutes before the food came out, so we were filling up on a side before we got our mains, really bothers me when cafes do this, if I wait, my chips are going to be cold - so I ate it & was feeling already quite full for the rest of my food.

Lastly, and this isn’t their fault so it didn’t impact my score - the parking is an absolute nightmare.

Aside from this, I will definitely be back...

I've been to this Cafe three times, both food and service were really nice for the first two times.

However things went sour this morning when I went there with a friend who I've been recommanding this Cafe to a lot of times. We waited for 15 minutes and got a table.Only 30 minutes later, we were asked to leave in 5 mins(the guy said 'you guy need to leave in 5 mins' like he was giving orders to his customers) while I was still eating my half sandwich and yet to finish my coffee. Later the guy who asked us to leave came and said 'oh just forgot what I just said, didn't see yer still eating.'

I understand this is a super popular Cafe and people were waiting outside to dine in,but seriously, who would ask their customers to leave when they only sat down for 30 minutes and still eating??!!!Very very disappointed.

But to be fair, if you only gonna do take-away, 4 stars for the quality of food. Minus 1 stars for...

I rarely write bad reviews but this one warranted it. The cafe looks lovely on the outside but it’s just a horror show on the inside. I ordered a kids’ chicken and halfway through it, I realised the chicken was undercooked. The cutlery bucket had roaches in them and when I pointed it out, the staff was neither apologetic nor did they even replace my cutlery till I asked for it. The staff seemed unbothered about customers at best, bordering on rude. I asked for a high chair and nobody bothered to get it for me. The tables were sticky and nobody cleaned them despite repeatedly asking for it. I just had to clean it myself. The floor was crawling with roaches. Be rest assured sub-station cafe that if any of us fall sick after eating your undercooked chicken, I will be suing you.

I regret, with every fibre of my being, visiting this cafe and I’ll never be coming back and would tell everyone I can...

I love this café so much! The one in Rosebery is my favourite. Being obsessed with lemon drizzle cake, I am always on the hunt to find yummy lemon cakes in cafes, markets etc. I'm from overseas and since moving here, I can't find anywhere that does a lemon drizzle cake like home. One day, I stumbled upon this café while on a walk, and saw in their cakes section that they sold slices of a lemon sponge cake. My eyes nearly fell out of my head haha I ordered the cake, and was sceptical at first as I have always been left down with the lemon cakes since moving to Aus. I will go as far as saying that this is the best lemon cake I have ever had in my life!!! The lady behind the counter (which could be the owner) advised that it is her mom's homemade recipe. Kudos to the lady who created this delicious recipe and THANK YOU for selling the best lemon cake in the world!!

The French toast was absolutely delicious, we got passionfruit and strawberries on the side. It’s definitely a five-star dish: rich, indulgent, and incredibly satisfying in the most guilty pleasure kind of way. The chilli scramble was also a very generous portion. It came on two crispy potato latkes, with perfectly seared bacon flakes and an incredibly tasty tomato-chilli relish. We only wish there was more of that sauce, it had a bold, Mexican inspired flavor that made us want to steal the recipe. Milkshake and coffee were fairly standard, nothing mind blowing but solid and consistent in quality.
