I just bought a salmon avocado and a prawn avocado roll from this sushi shop at Sydney Airport for my mum before her flight. Unfortunately, after just two bites, she noticed the rice was severely undercooked. I tried it myself and completely agreed—it was hard and unpleasant.
I returned to the shop to raise the issue, but instead of acknowledging the problem in the first instance, the staff dismissed my concern with, “The rice is cooked, but you feel like it’s not?” This response felt dismissive and frankly quite offensive, as if I was making it up to get a refund. The lack of accountability and empathy was disappointing, especially from a food establishment in such a high traffic location.
It was an embarrassing and frustrating experience, and I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to improve both their food quality...
