This Coffee Club was my go to for many years. The previous owner sold and it was taken over by a new team and all new staff. Our coffees took forever to come out (a good 20 minutes) and the barista was working very slowly and it wasn't even that busy. I'd hate to see it on a busy day! My coffee was tepid and my mother's was a good heat. Another two ladies sitting nearby also complained about their coffees and took them back! I ordered Eggs Benedict without balsamic and I asked 3 times at the counter to make sure it wouldn't have balsamic. Sure enough it came out 30 minutes later, with balsamic. I had to send it back in to be redone and that took another 10 minutes. Coffee Club have also increased their prices. You get less Eggs Benedict now for more money. One slice of bread as opposed to previously when they served two. All up 2 coffees and an Eggs Benedict took just over an hour. I'm really disappointed as for years before the new owners I really loved coming here and never had an issue. I'll have to find a new CC because that is way too much chaos for...

I came to get a coffee using my coffee voucher. I ordered for one take-away coffee. The lady serving at front told me to take a seat and then later served coffee in a dine-in cup. I told that I ordered for take-away coffee and not dine in. Then in front of me she started pouring the coffee from the cup to a take-away cup. I addressed this to her that it's not right to transfer the same coffee to a take-away cup. She justified it by saying that otherwise it would go waste. Is this reflecting good customer service?

She then agreed to make a new coffee and asked me to handover the take-away cup she gave me earlier and probably later poured the new coffee she made in that same old cup. Already annoyed by the whole experience, I couldn't enjoy the coffee at all.

You should at the first place offered to make a new coffee and leave the first coffee as it is, as a complementary coffee because it was a mistake on your end. This would have accounted for good customer experience but your service was not at all reflecting courtesy towards...

The Coffee Club Merrylands is exactly what you would expect from a chain cafe. The menu is bacon and eggs for breakfast and sandwiches and burgers for lunch. There are a few other dishes too, but nothing super adventurous. They have a cake display at the front counter and usually update the offerings once a week. You have to order at the counter, which I find reduces the cafe dining experience a little, but it's not a fancy place so you get what you pay for. The service here is a bit hit and miss. Sometimes the meals come together and sometimes they don't. I find it odd when they bring meals to the tables separately. This cafe can get busy on the weekends, but if you get in early you can usually get served quickly. I had the salted caramel pancakes on my last visit, and I was a little disappointed with the size and presentation. However, the flavour was great! The ricotta and caramelized banana were a great combination. I definitely recommend this dish to anyone who...

Came here because they were the only place serving late brunch, not a great idea. Iced coffee was sickly sweet, cappuccino was not great, quite bitter, eggs were over cooked & just not good at all. Corn fritters were shocking, one bite was enough to not go back for another. Sweet potato & pesto sandwich was below average, had two bites & just wasn’t interested. With all of the dishes & drinks being a disappointment, I gotta be completely honest. Sorry, but won’t be returning, just not good quality at all.
