The Gozleme Co Merrylands — Restaurant in Sydney

I haven't given anybody a bad review before and I hope this is the last. I am writing on behalf of my wife as I don't want her to remember the bad experience she received last week. My wife ordered a gozleme to take away, she was waiting patiently in front of the store waiting for her to pick her food up. 30 mins went by and she was noticing so many other people after she made her order getting their food. So my Wife went to counter and asked "what happened to her food, why is taking so long, why are others after her order are picking up their food first?" The lady worker didn't explain or made any apology but said "here, take your food" with an angry tone. My wife was so upset, her food was so cold, no apology or explanation, felt horrible. My wife and I are locals and we eat here every time and never ever had that experience, food was on time and Hot, and service was standard. This has changed my view on this shop and never ever will be returning and not recommending any more.

I would give zero stars for hospitality if there was an option. In a developed country like Australia, there is still people like this and sadly growing more in some areas day by day. Its really shameful that being a woman, the staff tried to shame me for breastfeeding my newborn baby. I visited with my sister and the lady came to me and said " you cant feed here , go to parents room " I said I want to feed my baby while I am also eating and she shamelessly told me that " I should cover myself up " . I told her that she cant tell me where and where not to feed my baby and its my choice. How rude and mannerless you need to be to say stuff like this. In Australia its a legal law to be able to breastfeed anywhere you can legally enter and look at these people who have no knowledge. They tried their best to shame me and make me go out of there but I breastfed my baby there as much as the baby wanted and had...

My husband and I used to come every two weeks. The service got worse as the price of the breakfast plate on the menu increased. I went again last week with my wife. The staff who did not know the changes in the menu, while I was ordering, the sarcastic style and gaze of the staff who took our order at the counter was very disturbing. Our order was completely wrong. We had to send the breakfast plate back 2 times. In addition, covid measures are ignored. All of a sudden, people you don't know sit at your table without your permission. 4 people bumped into it as there was no space between the tables while my husband was sitting at the table. extremely uncomfortable environment. I guess I have to discover new places for myself....
