The Coffee Club — Restaurant in Sydney

Would give 0 stars if possible. DO NOT GO HERE.

This used to be the best Coffee Club, over 5 years ago. Now easily the worst I've ever been to.

We ordered a chai latte, avo on toast and the Veggie Big Breakfast.

Firstly, the staff weren't friendly and seemed indifferent and impatient. When our food was brought to our table, the staff seemed both clueless and like they resented working here.

The chai tasted like warm milk.

The food looked like what you'd expect to make at home, not dishes you'd be paying up to $25 for.

The avo toast was bland, the bread wasn't toasted, the feta was weak and rubbery. The eggs in the Veg Big Breakfast were essentially boiled not poached as I had requested, the mushrooms were underdone and flavourless. I ate most of it purely because I was starving and didn't want to waste my $25.

So disappointing. I was looking forward to going to this Cafe after many years, but it's gone so far downhill, it's like their bar (standards)...

Super super super rude customer service deserving worst customer service of the year! The coffee maker girl on Saturday 19 October noon gave us a most scornful, disdainful look when we politely asked if they can clean the table full of food remains from last customers, saying “we don’t have staff and time to do that sort of things.” No apologises, no regrets even with a laugher suggesting “your problem for not knowing the rules in my shop”. All she showed from beginning to end not only to us but to other customers were impatient, arrogant, condescending OMG Queen of Carlingford court. Upon arriving i notice the daily special that was advertised near the register. Asking for that then presenting my coffee club card i was told that the special that was advertised was only for weekdays only (this was a Saturday when i visited) and was promptly removed. Staff behind the counter were then speaking their own language as i did not understand an Asian based language. With hesitance i handed over my money and waited for my snack with coffee. Once i received both was in a matter of poorness and lackluster effort. I should have went with my gut feeling and went elsewhere. Next for sure.

Avoid this place at all cost, your money is well spent...
