I’ve been coming to Filosofy Project for years—usually to grab a coffee and a light breakfast for myself or the crew. I’m not a coffee snob, but I know a good brew when I have one—and the coffee here is consistently damn good. There have been a few different owners but the place has maintained high standards and friendly service. A few of my regular food picks: • Egg and bacon tart with relish – Absolutely delicious and always gets me through to smoko. • Ham and cheese croissant – Fresh, simple, and always hits the spot. It’s a great local spot, especially for those working nearby or just passing through. I love this place and will always come back for more.

Lovely little cafe, cool vibe/atmosphere considering it's small. The staff and service was great and coffee incredible. Small menu though with not too many options, quite basic but the food was still nice and good. The stand out was really the coffee and the service

Quality food AND customer service, win-win. Phone didn’t even get to eat first for this one — the nourish bowl was too good!! Both quantity and quality here in terms of the bowl, and a standout warmth from the staff. Make this your next stop! I’d highly rec.

I had an appalling experience at filosophy project cafe in Double Bay on Sunday 8th October, in particular, rudeness from the older woman with glasses who served me. I asked for a bacon roll and politely asked that the fat be cut off. After consulting the kitchen, she grudgingly agreed saying “they’ll do it this time” (as if to say ‘but don’t even thinking about asking next time’). Eventually, my order showed up with both bacon and egg in the roll. I explained to the waiter that I had ordered a roll with bacon only and politely asked that he replace it. He returned a couple of minutes later with what was evidently the same roll with the egg removed, and confirmed this when I asked him. I then asked him to take it away at which point I decided I’d had enough. I went back to the counter and and explained the situation to the woman who had served me, and asked for a refund. She then went on to challenge me, claiming that I had ordered the roll with bacon and egg, effectively accusing me of lying. No word of an apology for the inconvenience. Instead, she insisted that she was in the right - even when I explained that I have an allergy to eggs and would never order anything with egg in it. In refunding me, she then went on to say “you can go and bother someone else now“. Completely unnecessary and extremely rude. Whilst I wasn’t happy, I never raised my voice or used inappropriate language; her behaviour was aggressive, inexcusable and unacceptable. I would advise strongly against going to this cafe for this...

Worst experience this morning. I let the dirty blonde haired female know I was catching an uber and it will come in 3-4 mins. I just simply wanred to purchase a simple wrap, its not hard, you grab the wrap and put in a paper bag and go. But the girl gave me attitude and wasn’t welcoming to the cafe or helpful, she just slowly strutted to grab the eftpos then slowly tapped the ipad then slowly showed me to pay and I did. Then the guys slowly took his time grabbing the wrap then slowly put it in the toaster even though I don’t need it toasted, obviously. My uber is in 4 mins. I told him. Then he took it out and slowly whistled and slowly cut the wrap in half. Theyre all dazed and taking the time...
