Extremely disappointing and wonât be back. The first waitress had a terrible attitude and snarled at us when we were talking to her. When we ordered I asked if the eggs in the Shakshuka could be hard due to being pregnant. She said yes. I said are you sure because Iâll order something else if itâs not possible to bake them hard. She assured me it was. We also asked if we could move as we were seated at a table that was hard to hear. She said she would let us know. When we saw another table become available we asked if we could move and she snapped back that she couldnât help us. We then asked a different waitress who moved us to a vacant table. We told her we had already ordered and she said she would transfer our order to the new table. Our food came out and my eggs were soft, my friend got the wrong order and no drink arrived. A new waitress came over to fix our meals. When our new meals came out my Shakshuka was just some tomato type sauce in the pan and had two hard boiled eggs plonked on top. I had to tell the waitress that it was not a Shakshuka as it was not baked as described on the menu. I said I would order something else. Over an hour later and after my friend had finished her meal, the third meal came out. It was ok but not amazing. I was so hungry by that stage and just needed to eat. The last waitress we had was apologetic and tried to rectify all the issues we had experienced but Iâm still astonished that she let the second Shakshuka go out and I had to explain that it wasnât what was described on the menu. The final straw was when she said she had given us a discount off our bill and when I checked the bill, the âdiscountâ was mostly the removal of the Shakshuka. We ended up with a few dollars discount. It was an extremely disappointing dining experience and the owners need to review their operations because it was very poor at every point. I wasnât impressed with handing over money for such a disappointing experience and will not be going back or...
Read moreI was recommended this place by multiple people that said it was the best breakfast in double bay. So I was happy to take my friend here for breakfast with that being said I must say I was very disappointed in the food and service. I understand that busy mornings can be hard for the staff, especially in such a busy place, however we were recommended the XO scrambled eggs. We got a banana bread and the XO, the banana bread was incredibly sweet and the scrambled eggs were lukewarm and a toast was soggy. After a few minutes we were done eating. We continued to sit for another 45 minutes chatting and during this time not one staff member came to check on us. At the counter I pointed at the table and the staff member told me the total amount and to tap my card. Nothing more.
Leaving a bit embarrassed as I had recommended this place, as we both left still hungry and disappointed.
Great spot if you want to check out super cars driving by and lots of...
