The Honest Chicken — Restaurant in Sydney

Located in Belrose shopping centre,

This place offers free range chicken with no added antibiotics or chemicals or hormones

The turnover from farm to shop is quick so freshness is always there

They don't only sell roast chicken but do offer burgers (chicken and beef and even a vege and pork burger) and plenty of fresh salads

Tried the chicken and I liked how it was tender and not dry in the middle like a lot of other places

What really impressed me was the STUFFING (big fan of stuffing and this had a lemon taste to it,a nice touch)

and

the COLESLAW (this may sound strange but I haven't had this good of a coleslaw in a long time. Usually I get Coleslaw which is too overwhelming with dressing or the dressing is not mixed in throughout the whole salad or it tastes old. This place doesn't have these issues)

I bought myself there smokey sauce which does live up to its name. I liked it

20170708 - The company where I work has been buying anywhere between 60-80 of their rolls every ~2 weeks for the past 6 months (probably more). Then they sell them to their staff at a discounted price at lunch time. It's supposed to be some sort of perk of working with this company. We continue to get these up to this day so it's safe to assume none of the staff members complained. I can't comment on the price, their staff or their restaurant, so I'll just mention their food. First of all, when meat is included, they add a generous amount of it! I tried out the chicken gravy (considering how simple it is, I enjoyed it, both with and without the gravy; see photo), chicken schnitzel (I recommend trying it, they place the right mix of stuff in there; see photo) and probably vegetarian.

4 stars instead of 5, because I don't know: how the restaurant looks, their pricing or staff attitude. Perhaps one day I'll have the pleasure of eating at...

The chef out the back makes a great spicy schnitzel burger; I really enjoyed it.

My first impressions weren’t very good. I entered and waited to be served for a few minutes, only to see someone wander to the register on the far end and be served instantly. Then the girl serving me wasn’t welcoming and left a bad impression.

The guys did a good job and had good customer service skills however, and it’s because of them and the quality of the burger that I’m giving my experience a 4/5.

Attached pictures were of the spicy schnitzel burger (I forget what it was called); it had two schnitzel pieces with spicy sauce on top, spicy mayo on bottom, complete with melted cheese, jalapeños and shredded lettuce.

Overall I would recommend coming here for the food. Hopefully not everyone has the same initial...
