Three Beans Glenrose Villiage — Restaurant in Sydney

Ordered a coffee at 2.05pm today to “have here”. The girl at the register said the kitchen was closed and could only do takeaway cup. Is the second time this week I have been told this. She then pulls out the sign “kitchen closed” and pops it on the counter. My coffee came out in a takeaway cup. Then I noticed every other person ordering after me was getting a cup and saucer or teapot, cup etc. This continued the whole time I was there until 2.30pm. I went up to the counter to query this and the girl who served me told me the barista making the coffees didn’t know the rule. I asked the barista who was making the coffees and she said the kitchen closed at 2.30pm and that china cups were still being used. Not all customers ordering beverages were ordering anything else I might add. Anyway, it’s not a life changing event, but I won’t go back there. Felt like a 2nd rate customer as it’s not the first time I have been treated like this. If I wanted to takeaway my coffee, I would have asked for that. I asked for "have here" in a proper cup. Christmas Eve and thought we'd grab a coffee after finishing our shopping. Little treat. Ordered and hubby went to the car with all the fridge food to wait. It wasn't overly busy but I figured it would be a small wait. 20 minutes I waited. 20 minutes for 2 x small flat whites. I understand skeleton staff but that's a little crazy considering it wasn't even that busy. Nonetheless I can forgive the wait time. I was very happy with my coffee... tasted great. However my husband's coffee? I don't know if the guy making it dropped chemicals into it or severely burnt the coffee but it was one of the foulest things we have ever tasted. I didn't believe my husband and therefore tasted it myself. Neither of us could get the chemical taste out of our mouth. Like dishwasher liquid with coffee? We threw the whole thing away.
