Title: A Cozy Retreat with a Touch of Elegance: Oaks Hotel Neutral Bay, NSW
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Oaks Hotel Neutral Bay in New South Wales, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. Nestled in the charming suburb of Neutral Bay, this hotel offered a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and elegance.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly and attentive staff who made the check-in process seamless and hassle-free. The lobby itself exuded a modern and inviting atmosphere, setting the tone for a pleasant stay ahead.
The rooms at Oaks Hotel Neutral Bay were spacious, well-appointed, and tastefully decorated. My accommodation boasted a contemporary design, complete with plush furnishings and a soothing color palette. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The amenities provided, such as a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge, and a coffee maker, further enhanced the overall comfort and convenience of the room.
One of the highlights of my stay was the breathtaking view from my room. I was fortunate enough to have a room with a balcony, offering panoramic vistas of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the city skyline. It was a mesmerizing sight, especially during sunrise and sunset.
The hotel's dining options left a lasting impression on me. The on-site restaurant offered a delectable array of dishes, ranging from Australian classics to international cuisine. The quality of the food was exceptional, and the service was prompt and attentive. Additionally, the hotel's bar provided a cozy ambiance, perfect for enjoying a refreshing drink after a long day of exploring the city.
Oaks Hotel Neutral Bay's location was another standout feature. Situated in the heart of Neutral Bay, it was conveniently located near various attractions, shopping centers, and public transportation options. The hotel's proximity to Sydney's bustling CBD and popular landmarks such as Luna Park and Taronga Zoo made it an ideal base for exploring the city.
The hotel's facilities were impressive as well. The fitness center was well-equipped and allowed guests to maintain their workout routine even while traveling. Additionally, the outdoor pool provided a refreshing oasis to unwind and soak up the sun.
While my stay at Oaks Hotel Neutral Bay was nearly flawless, there were a few minor areas for improvement. The Wi-Fi signal in my room was occasionally weak, which was a slight inconvenience. However, the issue was quickly resolved by the attentive staff who provided an alternative solution.
In conclusion, Oaks Hotel Neutral Bay proved to be a wonderful accommodation choice during my visit to Sydney. With its comfortable rooms, stunning views, convenient location, and excellent dining options, it offers a memorable experience for both business and leisure travelers alike. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a cozy retreat with a touch of elegance in Neutral Bay.

Service; To order food, you need to go into the Oaks public bar and go to the checkout/check in counter to order your food. Service is cordial and friendly, however, the person who served me today did not understand 'salad' and when I asked about salads, the checkout chick gave me bland description of the salads - therefore, I did not order the salad, as it sounded un-appetizing. The order came in good time, no long wait - the place was medium busy. When I looked at a salad another woman was having - I thought, that is not what was described to me - therefore, I would suggest all staff get fully indoctrinated into the menu. All sauces, cutlery, salt, pepper, napkins are next to the check out person and they have a good selection of sauces etc. and ample hand-sanitizer everywhere. Drinks are available - again its a place where you order your drink, and you take it to your table (unlike some upmarket pubs who often bring you your drink to your table once you have ordered).
Food; Today we ordered the crispy chicken burger with fries and small salad and aioli and a steak sandwich with fries, small salad. Both meals were tasty, my burger bun was soft, the burger was 'crispy' as per the description and the apple slices/slaw was okay - I would not order this again because the slaw was mediocre and a tad dry - it needed more dressing. I solved it by dousing the burger with chilli sauce. The steak sandwich was cooked well, but my friend said the steak was a bit 'tough', verging on chewy. We did not sample the drinks menu - but it looked as though it had the usual beer, spirits, bubbles etc. Plenty of water available which is nicely chilled.
Cleanliness; We out next to the famous Oak tree, and the table was clean. On this occasion, I did not use the bathroom - no comment on this aspect.
Value for money; Overall, good value for money considering this is the Neutral Bay area. I paid $54.50 for the crispy chicken burger and the steak sandwich. Parking; unsure where the parking lots is - I arrived via hire car.
X-factor; Always great to visit this pub, to sit by the famous 'oak tree' (hence the name 'The Oaks') - If it wasn't for the tree, I wouldn't necessarily come here, however, It brings back fond memories of my long patronage of this pub. Read moreWorst place I have ever been. The venue is lovely, the food is very nice. The staff and horribly rude and disorganised. We were there for an after wedding celebration and dinner. Most people came for a drink and left. Myself my brother and sister arrived 1.5 hours after most guests arrived to a very calm room of our guests chatting and eating. We went downstairs had dinner drank 2x Diet Coke I had a cider. Bride and groom still hadn’t arrived. While we were eating our dinner the bride and groom got back from their photos and were greeting by the maid of honour with two expresso martini’s… they were also greeted by horribly rude staff who tried to kick them out before they even set foot inside the venue. They hadn’t had a drink in over 3 hours! Asked them “if they were part of the wedding function”… she’s wearing a wedding dress!!!! We finished our dinner and went back up stairs, we were stopped by rude staff in particular a woman saying we were intoxicated and needed to leave. We had been drinking soda as it was a very long day and had a flight early in the morning. They even kicked nanna and grandpa out! I understand that when someone is intoxicated and making a scene they should be removed no questions but this wedding party was all seated, some were eating, some were standing and chatting. There was maybe 3 people who should have been served waters but no one warranted being kicked out of the venue. Who kicks a sober bride and groom out of a venue before they even arrive saying they are “intoxicated and can’t enter” everyone know knows the bride and groom don’t eat, drink and spend their entire day saying thank you to guest.
DO NOT book a function at this place. They will take your money and kick out everyone as soon as the tab is over. The bride and groom didn’t even get to finish their martini. Kicked out before 7pm. I’ve never seen anything so appalling in my life. Lucky Minskys took us in with open...
