5 loaves 2 fish might be in a quiet laneway in Neutral Bay, but it’s already made a name for itself. It’s a place that you wouldn’t pass through unless you were purposefully looking for it. However, you most definitely should be looking for it. A large bright open cafe, contemporary styling with white walls and greenery, it’s very welcoming. Chef Andrew and staff are brilliant. It was super busy the day we were there, and with customers ordering custom items, it could have been a long wait. However Andrew was amazing, pumping out the menu items from scratch (that’s impressive) and covering the diners meal when they ran out of their first preference. A+ class service right there. Wait staff attended to us quickly, delivering our coffees almost as quick as we ordered them. The menu here is superb, and right up our alley. Wholesome, healthy food and they cater well to dietary requirements. We could have ordered anything, it sounded so good, but we rested on a breakfast item to share and a brunch/lunch dish each. We tried the Honey Roasted Pistachio & Almond Granola w/ Organic Coconut Yogurt, berry compote, fresh berries and Canadian maple syru. The slow roasted cauliflower and chickpea salad, served with sweet potato hummus was divine! We added the turmeric spiced chicken /(keep this off and it’s a vegan dish) this was incredible. We admired the fish tacos from a afar, so they were a must order for us too. Small soft tacos, filled with spiced grilled barramundi and cabbage slaw, herbs, lime cream and tomato salsa. The kitchen takes so much care with their flavours and presentations. We absolutely love this place and are excited for our next visit!

Andrew and his team have done an amazing job with this beautiful cafe! The atmosphere and presentation of the food were elegant and classy with great lighting and superb flavours. I ordered the House Citrus Cured Salmon, Lamb Shoulder and Open Omelette with cold pressed apple juice and peppermint tea. The salmon had the perfect balance of sweetness, saltiness and spiciness and looked amazing with the runny egg yolk. The lamb was great and my friend absolutely demolished it. The open omelette was an interesting concept to me and each ingredient complemented the others well. Overall, I loved coming here not only for the food but welcoming nature of the staff. Super keen to revisit and explore more of their menu!

Great new addition to Neutral Bay. The coffee was great and was served quickly even though the cafe was full. The menu is interesting with lots of unusual combinations. The basics are hard to find which can be offputting for those who enjoy simple dishes. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Free range eggs. The thing letting this cafe down is the lack of front of house processes - not bringing cutlery or water, not asking if we wanted another coffee, mistakes with the food and coffee order, not cleaning empty tables promptly. If they can get their processes right, this place will be great.

Pretty good food with Korean influence. Creative, stylish, and delicious.

Visited 3 times, always impressed.

But the position size of few dishes are bit small if you are here for lunch.

I usually order a bowl of chips for this sort of situation but I couldn't see it on the menu.

I am not 100% sure but maybe they don't have a deep fryer in the kitchen. (This place is an open kitchen so you can see most of the kitchen)

Only one more negative is that the most things on the menu has something spicy or hot ( such as kimchi, chorizo etc)

I have no problem with that, but my wife is quite sensitive on the spicy foods, so she seems struggling to find what she can enjoy.

So if you are like my wife, could be not recommended. But otherwise I still defenetely recommend this place if you are looking for a creative delicious cafe foods. Just order an extra salad or something if you visit as...

The cafe was clean and inviting, with a warm and pleasant atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience enjoyable. The food itself was delicious—I ordered the Crab Omelette on Toast ($25), and my brother had the Lobster on Brioche ($30). Both dishes were flavorful and well-prepared.

However, I was disappointed with the portion sizes, especially given the prices. Despite the great taste, the portions were quite small. I still felt hungry after finishing my meal, and my brother felt the same. We ended up grabbing more food just half an hour later.

I’m not a big eater, and I usually find breakfast dishes at other cafes to be more satisfying in terms of portion size. While the quality and service were excellent, the portion sizes make it hard to feel it’s good value for money. Unfortunately, this means I’m...
