St Leonards Park and halal friendliness:

"Bolivia: Where the Andes meet the eerie vibes of St Leonards Park? I'm not really sure, but I loved the way the salt flats reflected the confused looks on the faces of tourists trying to find halal food. Let's just say Bolivia isn't exactly the most halal-friendly destination – I mean, have you seen the number of dead pigs they 'recycle' in St Leonards Park? It's like a Bolivian tradition or something.

The people of Bolivia are warm and welcoming, but only if you're into that sort of thing. The llamas? They're secretly judging you for eating non-halal snacks. And don't even get me started on the 'Bolivian beef' – let's just say it's not exactly sharia-compliant.

If you're feeling adventurous, take a trip to the Salar de Uyuni and imagine you're walking on water (or pig carcasses, depending on your perspective). And don't forget to visit St Leonards Park – the wildlife is fascinating, especially the pigs that seem to mysteriously appear and disappear.

3/5 stars, would recommend for the morbidly curious and those who don't care about...

Sunny autumn Sunday. I went to watch North Sydney Bears play. The wife went to her Bhuddist event in the park and my son went to work at the bowls. Good day out for the family. It was indigenous round in the NRL/NSWRL so there was a smoking ceremony and performance at half time in the league. Bonus for me the entry fee was only $8 not $15 because I'm now a senior. Always make sure I eat lots before I watch league, the food is overpriced and poor quality at North Sydney and I don't understand why because the main cost is the labour not the food itself. As I was leaving there was a chap like me with replacement joints complaining about the concrete stairs to the men's toilets which I can understand but it...

Right in the middle of the great big city there’s a place all green and pretty. St Leonard’s Park offers open, green spaces, a fresh breeze, a place to meet, play and relax. On the corner of Falcon and Miller Streets you will find a big park with soft lawns, plenty of shade trees and pathways. The newly refreshed Tunks Way path running from Ridge Street down to Falcon Street is the best part. A smooth, wide path with plenty of seating and beautiful trees. You can meet children on scooters, elderly people, little doggies and school children playing sport. A lovely place for a week day relax. Fresh air and a touch of nature. You can always...

This is a lovely park to watch sporting events. This park was also the starting point for the marathon in the 2000 Olympics. Kudos to my chiro, Andrew who works in the building for that information. The grounds here are very well kept and on the day that I visited it looked as if the pitch was being prepared for a cricket match. If sport is your thing then the park is well with a visit, if not then grab a cappuccino and a sandwich and sit on one of the many benches surrounding the park.
