I will start with the positives first. We went to have dinner there last night to celebrate my husband’s birthday with our kids and family. The lively young lady that served us was great and had great customer service skills and remembered everything we ordered and accommodated some special food for our very young family member. So after that we actually commented how nice that was and that we would go there more often… We spoke too soon… I will quickly mention that the food was very average, small portions, nothing that you couldn’t cook better at home for pasta and pizza and my chicken that had a fancy name was a very oily overcooked shnitzel with a small fried egg on top with small side of leaves. Very disappointing. Besides the food… once we finished our mains we waited for a while for someone to approach to ask if we wanted the dessert menu and as no one was looking my partner waived at someone so we could ask for dessert. The plan was to get tiramisu as birthday cake to celebrate… Then this other older lady approached (blond lady with black shirt that seemed to be the manager or owner) and said to our table “ You don’t have to wave for me to come to you, I’m not Chinese or Asian (??!!), that’s very rude and if you had been in Europe they would have kicked you out” WT?!! Everyone was in shock! Nothing rude had been done from our part, just a simple wave to get someone’s attention for service (something the should have provided in the first place ) I have to say to this lady: you ruined our night out and my husband’s birthday. He is deaf and he might have waved a little bigger than other people because he has more body language than others, yet I didn’t think he did, but even so, you have no right to talk like that to your customers, people that chose your restaurant to celebrate together. No one had been rude to you and even if you were Chinese we would have waived the same way ( I really don’t understand your comment) and we are not in Europe but in Europe you wouldn’t have been allowed to talk like that to your customers. So we paid $400 to your establishment for a very rude and unprofessional treatment. We won’t be back and you shouldn’t work in this field. I’ve been working in retail for the last 11 years and not even once I spoke to my customers like that, not even to the really, truly rude ones. That’s called...
Read moreWe thought we'd give this place a try as its new to the area... what a mistake that was! Do yourself a favour and give this a miss. Everything went wrong from the start, I usually don't give bad reviews as it makes me feel bad, but... the service and food was so bad... I wouldn't wish it upon my foe. From rude, obnoxious staff to terrible watered down napolitana sauce (98% of the menu has this terrible sauce), I'd take Lego's sauce over this any day! The pasta dish came out first and we had to wait another 10 minutes for the pizza which is annoying if you want to eat together. From our group of 4, not a single person enjoyed their meal. The pizza base was soft, but as it had that awful sauce, it just completely ruined the chance of it being edible, further to that, the ingredients were non existent (as in pic) just a slather of watered down red sauce. Our bill was over $100 and we left hungry. It's very deceiving to have "street" kitchen as your name where they fool customers into thinking that it is cheap street food style pricing, when in fact the portions are very small and more like kids meals. With an array of wonderful restaurants nearby, avoid embarrassing yourself & friends and try any...
Read moreSince moving locally this has become one of my favourite places to go for dinner! The buffalo mozzarella pizza is exactly like it is in Italy, the pizza is simple but each ingredient is prepared so beautifully, it makes me want to go back! (The tomato sauce base on the pizzas is truly incredible). If the buffalo mozzarella pizza sounds too simple for you (trust me - the taste will explode in your mouth), the pepperoni pizza is delicious too, pepperoni perfectly crispy and perfectly spicy. I've also tried the gnocchi which reminded me of my grandma's cooking and tastes delicious - again, simple but taste is to die for. The Nutella pizza for dessert will melt your heart if you have a sweet tooth. I always leave here having eaten too much but my wallet never suffers, prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of food you're getting. For those complaining about having to order at the counter - get off your high horse, this is a street kitchen and it will take only one minute out of your day to go and order. OBSESSED with free sparking or still water available to you off a tap, its incredible. Honestly, if you're local, give this...
