Dined in for dinner as a party of four on a Wednesday night. Quiet, small spot and not many guests so difficult to give atmosphere a rating, however there was a good selection of music in the background without it being invasive. Service was excellent and not overbearing. Meals prepared in good time and served together which was pleasing. The owner/chef served meals and explained each one, which was a nice attention to detail and demonstrating pride in the creations. Small menu but interesting with a good fusion of Taiwanese related dishes which were all nicely presented. If you have a larger appetite, and enjoy a good healthy plate of meat, potatoes and veg for dinner then consider adding side dishes, as the main courses are on the smaller side. This would then push the final bill up so it is a personal choice and balance. It would be a sign of goodwill and probably bring back customers if restaurants offered some complimentary additions, such as some bread and butter for the table, a salad, some steamed vegetables to share and coffee at the end would hit the mark and be well received by many I'm sure. If just one of these things were offered as a complimentary touch then it would make all the difference in my opinion; they are not hard or costly to offer/achieve, are they ? Also allowing BYO wine would be a bonus and keep customer costs down who are feeling the pinch with cost of living concerns these days but still want to get of the house now and then for a nice meal without it meaning you have to default on your mortgage payments. I suppose it depends on the owner and what they are trying to achieve and create, as well as costs and profit margins for them. Overall it was a pleasant experience and i will probably go back one day. The restaurant was fresh, new and very clean. I hope it can stay that way. Didn't need to use the bathroom so not sure where that was and whether it was well maintained. I wish the owner all the best and hope he enjoys many...

Lovely restaurant in Macquarie Park. Good to know dietary requirements can be catered for. Catherine was lovely, explaining us about each dish with clear pride and passion. The food was superb and beautifully presented. Grilled octopus had a beautiful texture complimented by complex but not overpowering flavour of house-made Taiwanese style kimchi and feta/ricotta cheese. The 3-cup steak was most amazing - tender, flavoursome and the chimichurri added interesting twist to the dish. Drunken duck was a winner too, would prefer a stronger alcohol flavour but still loved every bite. Beef cheek noodle soup was very good with most tender beef slices, though I still prefer the traditional flavour. The taro burnt cheesecake was to die for! Love the taro mash base, so refreshing and heavenly.

We dined here on a discount through First Table. The full menu price is fair for the quality of food and service, but not sure about the location- There is no onsite parking. You have to park a good 10-min walk away either at nearby Macquarie shopping centre or across Epping road at the Ranch or Dan Murphy. All good on fair-weather days but not so easy in 35C heat or rainy days. A suggestion for owner would be to have promotional time-limited 3-course set menus showcasing your chef’s specialty dishes on rotating basis. I know I will certainly fall for it, already looking forward to try out other dishes...

I kept seeing this restaurant on my insta feed so decided to try it. Our prawn toast and truffle radish cake entrees were delicious. I had a cocktail (forgot what it was called) that I enjoyed but my wife didn't like it.

For our mains the popcorn chicken was a cracker and so was the mushroom basket. The shoestring fries were undercooked and the katsu pork ribs was intriguing but in reality a pain to eat. With the ribs there was grilled pineapple, capsicum and onions which were delicious. While the pork ribs tasted nice, it was unpleasant having to spit out cartilage and having the breadcrumbs go everywhere.

We tried each of the desserts and they are all recommended although we rated the Panna cotta as our favourite.

The downside for us was at the end of our meal. Service throughout dinner was a nice and friendly, however at the end of our meal we were interrupted in our discussion and rushed out before our 2hr slot because the next table had arrived early despite there being other empty 4 Seater tables. Note we had paid over $200 for dinner for 2 adults and a child, given the amount we were spending they could have let us stay the full booking timeslot. This really killed the experience for us. Can't honestly say...

Tucked away beneath the tranquil Macquarie Park apartment complex lies a culinary gem, offering an innovative Asian fusion menu that tantalizes the taste buds. With unexpected flavor combinations, this restaurant delivers a dining experience that is both satisfying and memorable. While the portions may be on the smaller side, the exquisite presentation and complexity of certain dishes make up for it. However, we did find that the quality varied slightly across the menu. Some dishes were absolute standouts, with perfectly balanced flavors and innovative combinations. Others, while still enjoyable, felt a bit underwhelming or lacked the same level of complexity. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and eager to provide recommendations. The ambiance was intimate and inviting, creating a perfect setting for a leisurely meal. While the cost per person may be slightly higher due to the smaller portions and upscale nature of the cuisine, the overall quality and unique dining experience make it well worth the investment for those willing to explore new flavor combinations.
