This is the only cafe that is empty without customers at Bondi Beach on a Sunday for a reason. The lady behind the counter was very rude to my friend when we dined in on the 26 June 2022, 3:15pm. When my friend asked for a ‘normal tea’, the lady behind the counter reacted quite aggressively, angrily arguing that there is no such thing as a ‘normal tea’ - a black tea. She made us feel very uncomfortable, belittled for our decisions and unwelcome. Even more so, at 3:45pm she said they’re closing and snatched my plate from under my hand as I quickly grabbed the rest of my sandwich. When my friend confronted her about not asking us if we had finished, she said she was the owner. She only hesitantly gave her name ‘Usu’. Im a local and don't enjoy writing bad reviews as I want people to do well but my experience with customer service today means that unfortunately I will not return. I was sitting with young daughter waiting for our lunch when a delivery man came in. My pram was neatly tucked on the side in no ones way and had the owner have asked me, I could have easily moved it for him. Instead she proceeded to push a locked pram over to me and gave me no time at all to help before snapping at me. She was so incredibly impatient and rude.
