Thurs arvo: not busy (man waiting for drink, and then me) me: Can you do me a cheese and tomato sandwich please—white bread, avocado not butter? her: Only have sourdough, that ok? me: OK (pay, wait outside for order) me (have meeting elsewhere, concerned at delay): Will it be much longer? her: It’s being toasted. me: Didn’t ask for toasted! (return to counter: sandwich apparently ready, notice it has ham—which I definitely did not order and don’t eat) me (as she’s about to bin sandwich and make another): Don’t waste it, just remove ham. her (indignant): We’re only trying to help you, we’re not a deli, you should’ve gone down the road. me: Thought I’d give you a go, won’t bother again. her: Don’t come back! nb 1 no ‘oh, so sorry for incorrect order’ (Two Siisters touts its friendly service) 2 sandwich itself tasty, albeit ham-tainted 3 if cheese’n’tomato sandwich too much trouble/too difficult, incumbent on Two Siisters to say so upfront, decline order, and suggest other provider

30 April Review amended from two to one star because of owner’s regrettable and dishonest defensiveness.

Loyalty to staff admirable, but quite misplaced in this instance: believe repeated incompetence deserves to be called out.

My honest review was indeed, despite owner’s assertion, ‘how the events occurred’: take-away order was twice botched—didn’t order toasted, didn’t order ham (don’t eat pork). Not difficult.

As for ‘rude’, if owner had been specific in reply, I’d have been happy to be corrected. Absent such, I note here that I used no inappropriate language, tone or volume with them. Am invariably civil so if owner misconstrues my manner as rude then that’s their problem not mine. Believe my frustration at their incompetence quite justified.

Omg! This place is the best cafe on the Northern Beaches! My usually very fussy partner (ok, I'm fussy too), but this place never disappoints! The food is next level delicious - and importantly, after 4/5 visits, consistently good. This is a massive plus. We wouldn't bother going anywhere else now. The coffee and juices are yum! Staff are so friendly and professional. My partner was there today getting takeaway B&E rolls, and the staff brought him a water while he waited outside. They just go up and beyond. I don't eat meat, and they made an egg roll (with hash brown and caramelised onions) and even charged less for no bacon. Cafes don't do this anymore! Please visit if you are in the area, or jump in the car and visit if you're not. Would love to give all my support to these lovely ladies! Been here a few times and usually it’s amazing! Went back yesterday and it was so below average. My guess is that there’s a different chef on weekends? We ordered two eggs bennys and all 4 eggs were hard poached. Maybe I’m wrong for not requesting soft poached eggs but it’s pretty standard at most places and we didn’t request it here before and the eggs were perfect on previous visits. Also super stingy with the hollandaise this time. No one asked how our meals were, not even when they cleared the plates or when we paid so didn’t get the opportunity to give this feedback in person. Apparently the fact my eggs were on the side of my plate not eaten, was not a sign of dissatisfaction to them. Didn’t have time to wait for meals to be remade so didn’t bother to complain after...
