Urban Jungle Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

Can you ever imagine turning up to a café bearing a smile, thinking your not to sure what to expect, so you lower your expectation, but you look around and see other customers smiling, laughing and it seems like they are experiencing a full-on engaging quality family time.

Well, this happen to us. Urban Jungle Café in North Parade Root Hill NSW 2766 approximately 13mins away from Doonside. How convenient, it was a random choice of venue for brunch with our son and his family. We entered with those hesitant feelings, but those feelings were meet with the most welcoming greeting for new customers to experience.

The waiter vibe transcended through her smile, and it eased my nerves. The vibe within Urban Jungle exceeds us, honestly beyond our imagination. We felt comfortable which heighten our expectations. It was an experience I want to share with you, an experience I wish for all families to encounter.

My family was laughing, we were smiling as we engaged in a well overdue family quality time. It was something we lost through the hard times of dealing/coping with the medical crisis we know as COVID-19 the Delta Strain.

Now let’s talk flavors, lets talk about taste-buds, presentation and all those wonderful words that can describe the food we ate. But truthfully, I’m going to talk to you about how the food made me feel.

In front of me laid a plate of Urban Pancakes. I could not wrap my eyes around it, words like OMG, what the #@%$.......... I could not control the feelings of how impressed I was. Fully excited right now I took my 1st bite, wow I found myself devouring each piece, trying to capture the flavors swirling around in my mouth, my taste-buds were doing somersaults. O my goodness it out did my expectation. I sat back in the booth and watch my husband & son feast on their Jungle Brekky. What made me happy to see the most is when they both started to suggest that I tried the sauce in the middle of the dish and taste this, try this one to. For me action speaks louder than words.

Overall, our experience with Urban Jungle Café blew our minds. My family enjoyed the beauty in the food, we appreciated the outstanding service that was delivered because it gave us an experience COVID-19 took away from us.

So, if it’s a family gathering or a date with a loved one in a safe environment over amazing food with excellent service, if that is what you need. I will recommend that you check out Urban Jungle Café in Rooty Hill NSW

I am compelled to write this review to articulate my profound disappointment with the service I received during my recent visit. On a Sunday, I chose this establishment for brunch, noting the apparent lack of busyness, with only a few patrons and an abundance of vacant tables. As a party of two, we were eager to experience what this venue had to offer, having had no prior acquaintance with it.

Upon our arrival, we were instructed to sit anywhere, which was acceptable given the numerous unoccupied tables. However, the regrettable service commenced almost immediately thereafter. We endured an unacceptable wait of approximately seven minutes before menus were presented, leaving us in the dark about the offerings, as there were no other indications available.

After finally receiving the menus, we promptly reviewed the sparse selection and decided upon one of the specials. Our anticipation to place our order was palpable. Nonetheless, a larger group of approximately ten individuals, who were seated subsequent to our arrival, received prompt attention from the waitstaff and were even provided with water.

We, however, continued to wait for an egregious 20 minutes without being offered water or having our order taken, despite the waitstaff being conspicuously unoccupied. Such a lack of attention is unparalleled in my extensive dining experiences. Consequently, we elected to depart, as the evident neglect of guests likely extends to the preparation of the food.

Hi, would just like to start off with the food being great and so was the atmosphere!

But I have a great reason for my 1 star review and unfortunately the great food and atmosphere doesn’t make up for it.

Me and my partner decided to try out this place considering the google reviews and referrals from friends, but how ever it seems our visit was rather unpleasant for good reasons.

We ordered our food and drinks, wait for the food wasn’t long but the issues was primarily the drinks, we received our food but no drinks, we waiting and flagged down 3 staff members to follow up for our drinks or water in the mean time because we cannot eat without having drinks considering a big meal, it had been 30 minutes after we got our meal and forced our selves to eat what we can without any drinks and then once our appetite and excitement was over. The drinks then come after we were done eating, the staff was not helpful at all and did not apologise for the massive delay and poor service, we noticed customer who arrived 20 minutes after our order received their drinks before us and when we asked the waitress the 3rd time what was happening and we asked then why did they get their drinks before us? They advised it was priority!? I noticed the bartender is very inexperienced as I watched the one lady struggling and didn’t know how to mix cocktails.

That is very unprofessional and unpleasant considering we had to chase down waitresses for even water but we get told drinks are prioritised while we waited and food gone cold.
