Wentworthville Hotel — Restaurant in Sydney

the bar manager (short caucasian lady around 30s) was very unprofessional and rude, possible racist. I was yelled at by a drunk or tilting customer for no reason (I glanced at his pokie machine every time something blew up, my machine was right next to his) and she sided with him without asking questions, demanding I dont give her the attitude when I attempted to defend myself. Either the mans a great tipper and they were friendly or she had it in for me and I stood no chance. The same manager had argued (with passion) with a young African customer, whose problem seemed to be that he had been walking around the pub too fast? and after being countered with logical arguments she eventually had security involved and asked to ban the man because he was “too loud” and “intoxicated”. Also there had been double parking next to the pub and she had assumed the offending car had belonged to my mate who was smoking next to it and confronted him with an extremely demanding and demeaning tone. He was on the phone and did not respond which then the manager forced herself into his vision presence and started barking questions at a more rude tone Most of the other staff I have encountered seemed to work hard and were genuinely nice, but the manager is horrible unprofessional and generally obnoxious, who obviously cherry picks...

We go this place every weekend in group of atleast 8-10 and spend close to $500 on drinks in two hours. We were always served free chips and chicken balls, but since last three weeks, we were told that the new management has taken over and things have changed. The new lady manager (asian girl) was rude and extremely disrespectful to the customers. We asked for chips at the bar and she said “ we are new management, and we are here to make money this is not salvation army”, all we said that why did u guys started charging money for chips and stuff. Few other customers who were behind us had difficulty in speaking english so they took time to explain to her what kinda drink they wanted,but the manager asked them to start pronouncing the drink names properly if next time they want a drink in an insulting tone, as she was desperate to go for a smoke or something. After spending so much money at local pub, even still if we don’t get treated right and respectfully like we were by previous management, than i think, this establishment might actually end up scaring away all their customers., and hopefully this time the management has a bit of experience in this industry and employee professional staff.
