Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had with restaurant staff in my many years of dining out. The hostesses are extremely rude and downright hostile towards customers.

Went out of our way to drive into the city on the weekend to try their wings. Checked to see if it was going to be busy—plenty of reservations available online (every 15 minutes a table is available!). Paid $26 to park in the building, walked up to ask for a table (we could see 4 empty tables available): “table for two?” The hostess says simply “no” and turns around and walks away. A bit in shock, I wait for her to come back with an explanation. “All booked. You need a reservation”, she says. No offer to wait...

Okay. Log onto their website again (it’s now 7:05 pm); make a reservation for 7:15 pm. Reservation is confirmed. I bring the reservation and the confirmation code to the hostess (now there are two there, neither of them friendly or helpful). She glances at the computer and says she doesn’t have my name. Then I show her again the confirmation number and ask what they intend to do with a confirmed reservation that they won’t honor. She says nothing as there are other people with reservations as well and she doesn’t have my name. I point to my name, very clearly visible on their POS system. “You just made that, so I won’t take it”. What about the open tables? There’s just two of us, we don’t intend to stay long, just came for wings. “Those are for people coming in later. We’re very busy.” What do you tell people who walk in normally who say they want to wait, when you’re not too busy being rude to them? “I tell them it’s at least going to be two hours and that they probably shouldn’t bother waiting.”

On our way out we call and ask to speak to a manager. Put on hold for ages...relayed the experience...0 sympathy or remorse from them, either. Before offering a resolution or alternative, we were hung up on. (Somehow, this felt less rude than having someone physically turn their back on you mid conversation in the way the hostess did, but I suppose it’s par for the course at this stage of the evening).

TLDR, Rockpool, you should be ashamed to employ these people in a customer service capacity. We got dinner at Wings n Tins in the end, and their service and wings were both fantastic. I won’t bother coming...

If you’re looking for a fun, laid-back place to smash some wings, sink a few cold beers, and catch the game on massive screens – Winghaus Gateway at Circular Quay is where it’s at!

First off, the wings are insane. You can get bone-in or boneless (both are great), and there are heaps of sauces to choose from – I went for Texas BBQ and habanero, and wow, flavor bomb! You can order them in bulk too, so it’s perfect for sharing... or not. 😏

They’ve also got classic American-style food like burgers, onion rings, and loaded potato gems – all super tasty. Oh, and don't skip the deep-fried chocolate bars. Trust me.

Now the drinks? Next level. They’ve got 40 beers on tap – everything from German steins to local Aussie brews – plus cocktails on tap too (yes, even espresso martinis). Their happy hour (5–7pm weekdays) is a steal: 50c wings, $6 pints, $7.50 cocktails. Can’t go wrong.

The vibe is great – huge TV screens everywhere, comfy seating, and a cool sports bar feel with jerseys and memorabilia on the walls. It gets busy on game nights, but that just adds to the atmosphere.

Staff were friendly, service was quick, and the whole place has that energetic, good-times feel. Great for groups, casual dates, or just grabbing a feed solo and watching some footy.

Definitely 5 stars from me. Will be back – probably...

We arrived, and we entered the room. we were a group of 14 but BOOM we were split apart. We are all a tight knit group of people, and despite us comfortably fitting on one table (which by the way would easily fit 18 people), we were told we were blocking the pathway and had to split the table in half. Let me remind you we are a tight knit group of people, and we did our best trying to squeeze in and make as much room as possible for others, and we received nothing but death stares. Despite the somewhat rude service, cannot complain about the extremely cheap and tasty cocktails. overall a solid 6/10 jight. Only deserves a high score of 6 because we are going to side bar afterwards. We had booked for 14 people but there was not a big enough table provided. ALSOO we were told that we were not allowed to order more than two drinks at a time (bit weird if you ask me) not even in line with RSA. Rude service. Felt highly disrespected. Anyway still a good night. Waiter number 25 was cute so worth it. That’s why we gave it a 6; but not being higher than that. good evening and...

I love a good wing, and was in the area so I thought I’d give it a go. This is the type of place that doesn’t have ordering at the table, which is something that puts me off straight away. They also have the scan QR code at the table to order, although you can order at the counter. Issue is the counter is quite busy as it’s a sports bar type place. Seats are really uncomfortable bar stool style. It’s quite noisy as you’d expect from this type of venue. Now the food. We order 10 wings each with a side of chips each. Chips were really good, hot and crispy and well seasoned. The serving is large and could easily do 2 people. I ordered the fried wings, my wife the traditional. Both looked amazing and tasted really good. Hot and fresh. Traditional ones came with the sauce in the wings, my fried ones had it on the side. I prefer the sauce on the wings personally, and the side sauce was sufficient for around half the wings. You can order extra, but it should be served with enough sauce. Overall a good experience, and the gripes I had were a personal preference I have.

I went today on their Grand Opening and the staff were so lovely and the food was great. Understandably, this was a really busy day for them being a public holiday and all too. We ordered through the me&u app which was convenient however we had waited half an hour and not even our beers had come out yet. I advised the waitress who was really apologetic and brought them out for us right away. I don’t think the me&u app was sending through orders properly, so we didn’t receive the rest of our food and wings until an hour after we placed the order which is a bummer and the whole reason for the 3 star rating. Additionally the cups got soggy really quickly and the coke machine wasn’t working properly. Recommendations: The Texas BBQ wings and chipotle mayo sauce were a hit! I would come back and try it again, maybe on a less busy day and potentially re-review. Great concept, variety of beers and plenty of sporting channels displayed.

Decent food but not much variety on the menu. It's an American themed sports bar where the focus is on wings. There's not a lot of variety on the menu with mainly just a standard cheeseburger with your choice of patty (Angus Beef, Chicken, vegan-mushroom or fish). They have various mexican items and their signature chicken wings. You can order and pay via QR code on your phone or order up at the bar and they will bring your food out when it's ready. Just don't expect the service to be fast, as out to my order a significant amount of time to arrive. I can appreciate them bringing the drinks to the table but that didn't arrive for at least 30 mins, with our food only about 5-10 minutes behind that. I asked if I could just get my drink while I was at the bar, but they refused. Three staff insisted on bringing it out to my table. Perhaps they should reconsider...?!
