On a short trip to Sydney, 1 day to be exact, I aimlessly scrolled through Groupon and came acrosss a whale watching tour, 2 hours for $39! I booked 2 vouchers, which I had to do on 2 seperate Groupon accounts as it would only let me buy 1 per account (hot tip). We were to be using them later that day for a 245pm departure. We used the 1300 or 1800 number (not good memory) and the booking process was really easy (You will have to state both the Groupon voucher number and the security code so have that handy). DO NOT park in the city like us. 3 hours was $90 (wish i could highlight this). Park at a local train station, catch the train to the city then the tram to circular quay. We made our way to Circular Quay Warf 6 via tram at about 215pm - the first there! People started rocking up about 230pm, the boat came back from the previous cruise about 230pm. I could see the crew santising all the handrails (happy about). A friendly looking fellow headed over with a smile and his ipad and proceeded to ask us for our first and last names. We boarded the boat and scurried to the seats i'd be eyeing off, sure they were the best ones where we were going to see the most whales. Boarding, boarding, boarding. Taking off for a beautiful view of the harbour and opera house. Unparralell. Just for the views alone it was worth it. But we wernt there for the views so the speed setting was on as we jetted out to the open ocean. "There!!" someone exclaimed as we'd just hit the mouth of the ocean! Wow! a whale that quick I was not expecting. You could tell the captain had seen it too as he slowed the boat and started to stalk the whale (or whales). We stalked the whale up and down the coast and had our resident whale nerd, the pleasant check in fellow, tell us countless facts about all things whale, I must admit I was too consumed with getting the perfect whale tale shot to listen to half of them. We also saw a bunch of common dolphins and a few different playful seals. The ocean was alive! After that 2 hours I'm pretty sure I had whiplash, we headed back as the sun was setting behind the harbour bridge. Very good value for $39. Would recommend on a sunny day. Also Hot tip - i think down the bottom out the back wouldve been a good option. Less people, closer to the water. Peace & Love - Scotty & Jessi

During the day we'd already trotted around Sydney harbour taking in most of the sights. When I learnt that my sister had booked us on a Sydney harbour cruise, I wasn't expecting the experience on water to be much different from what I'd already done on land. However, the evening cruise turned out to be better than I thought. We departed punctually from the dock under clear skies. The twin decked boat glided along the calm sea at a languid pace. And the skillful skipper stopped at strategic spots so we could take (more!) photos. Accompanying the views and the refreshing cool sea breeze, we also had running commentary from the soothing voice of a gentleman. I very much preferred his way of succinct, light and knowledgeable commentary, versus those loud guides who constantly asked for reactions/responses from the tour participants. So if you are thinking if you should, I would say if the weather is good, then you should make the time and take this rather relaxing tour.

Pros: Thank you Peter for making our day special 🐨🐨😀😀. There are different time AM/PM sessions you can choose with 90mins cruise tickets. Its Super flexible for people visiting Sydney who like freedom. Views on the cruise is stunning. It's a Must take cruise. We were so happy that we met Peter of Fantasea ticket kiosk, as we had a little drama on the day that we lost half of the tickets. Peter stepped out to talk to the captain which he didn't need to. But as he sold the tickets to us, he is responsible, super friendly and knowledgeable about the Darling Harbour. Thank you Peter for rescuing us! Even the weather is wet or windy, you can go downstairs to enjoy the views. 90mins cruise is great for all ages. We have different ages in our group. Everyone enjoyed the cruise. Cons: None Fantasea is just locating a little behind Captain Cruise. Bought our tickets through Klook.

I happened to choose Fantasea for my family’s whale watching experience, because of their flexible time slots daily and easy-to-find ticket booth at WHAFT 6. What I got in return was satisfaction.

I had a great whale watching experience on a sunny day with not too much wind. Fantasea’s boat is very sturdy, airy and clean. The staff on board are all professional, friendly, always ready to help and guide everyone to look in the direction of the whales. Advice is to check the weather carefully to have the best experience.

I also chose Fantasea when buying tickets to Taronga Zoo. Martin- who sold me the whale watching ticket also gave my family a 10% when we booked the zoo ticket in advanced. We took the 9:45am Fanta Sea Ferry (TRAIN LEAVES RIGHT AT 9:45am so be there on time even early if you want to visit every places of Taronga Zoo like us). After arrive at Taronga zoo, there will be a public bus waiting there, you can use the bus and tap on and off as normal or choose to walk (not expensive). If you walk, enter via the zoological park so it is closer. Again please check the weather, it’s was so windy and cold the day we visited the zoo, but we managed to explored and see all the animals there. That day it was so windy that seal and bird show was cancel. Then we also took the last Fanta Sea ferry at 16:15 back to Circular key. The ferry was super on time. Staff were incredibly friendly, welcome and nice. I also realized that there were free hot tea and coffee on board. I hope that Fantasea would also offer another ferry back to Circular at around 5:15 so that we would have more time there. Overall, im satisfied with booking my zoo trip with Fantasea and Martin.

What makes me would choose Fanta sea again for my next trip is there top-notch service.

I have some problems with card payments and point of sales (POS). I was so afraid that I will charged twice for the Taronga zoo. But when I called, they are out off working ours so I submitted an enquiry for Fanta Sea, and received their reply after only one hour. SHOUT OUT TO MARTIN-the sale staff who served and replied to me. MARTIN has been so SUPPORTIVE and HELPFUL. I totally FELT SATISFIED and HAPPY with the service you have provided me. MARTIN answered all my questions (included the transaction issue problem). I was so pleased TO HAVE MARTIN HELPED ME TO BOOK A WONDERFUL WHALE WATCHING TRIP. His readily-to-listen to his customer and attentiveness, and FRIENDLINESS are what I have been looking for in looking for a service. And now because he, Martin (thank you for answering the email so quickly), it even proves me of his top-notch service. Thank you Martin for your service and if this issue made you feel sad, i...

Second consecutive year that the cruise to view the start of the SydneyHobart race has been a complete let down! Billed as watching the start and following the yachts outside and down the coast, possibly to Maroubra, it achieved none of its objectives. The boat was poorly positioned to view the start, then it limped towards the heads as the leading yachts round the heads almost out of sight of our boat, and turned south. We stuck our nose outside before beating a hasty retreat back into the harbour maintaining a long distance from the tail enders of the racing fleet as the skipper headed back to keep his 2pm slot at the wharf. It begs the question as to whether there was ever any intention to venture down the coast as the race commenced at 1 pm and we had to be back at Circular Quay for 2pm. Incidentally the crew reiterated this intention during the onboarding announcement. Well done to the skipper for saving fuel. Brownie points no doubt. Dismayed customers aplenty! Again I reiterated that this is the 2nd consecutive year that this company has, in my experience, over promised and under delivered on this event. ( Was it too rough to go outside? See my comments re 1pm race start and 2pm deadline for docking. Also boats a fraction of our size followed the yachts well down the coastline ! ) . Based on my recent experiences don't expect this organisation to...
