Wockbar Manly — Restaurant in Sydney

I wish I could give the Google reviews product (from Google) a 1 star. Most reviews are one liners. How does that help anyone?

I had Chilli beef mee for dinner - beef is thinly sliced. Overall not bad. I don't like brocolli in soup in a Chinese restaurant. Malay-Chinese restaurant near Wynyard does much better Chinese food at lower prices.

Lunch - dimsum takeawy - dumplings are really tiny - taste is not bad. The bao had char-siew which tasted like cardboard. Tons of environment unfriendly packaging.

Another lunch - chicken laksa - very generic laksa - worth giving a pass.

If you visit, try the Wockbar special noodle dishes. I haven't tried them, but the description sounds good. I hope for the few extra dollars, they are good.

I JUST CANT BELIEVE IT.... The worst person I have ever encounter in hospitality is the girl working at Manly Wock Bar... it is such a shame because I come to this place at least 4 times per week.. Already complain about her and she is still here.. if she doesnt like her job just go somewhere else.. The table of 3 next to me left the restaurant just after they ordered because the girl is SOOOOOO RUDE I am so sad about this situation but if she continues here I will have just to go somewhere else please do something about her.. I have pictures of her because she is just to angry about the world she wont provide her name... thursday 15:49 if you know who you rostered you know who is making mistakes on the way they treat...

I guess the Wockbar serves its purpose. If you have children then you will be happy that they can select from a variety of kid friendly meals, but alas they are all fried one way or the other and some kids may not like this. But there is always some little toy that they get, so kids love coming here generally. For adults, there is a big choice of dishes from different Asian countries, and it seems a little bit like they want to do it all but they cannot do it all properly. The food tastes ok-ish but nothing outstanding or spectacular. If you get a seat right next to the window then great, you will enjoy one of the best restaurant views you can...
