Actully, ChatGPT recommended this park for me when I asked for a recommendation for 10k run with my dog. I absolutely loved my experience here. Unlike other nearby dog-friendly parks, Centennial and Astrolabe, it has easy flat surfaced track for running with amazing views. I went around at 7am and it was serene with a few slow paced bike riders. My dog enjoyed exploring this park, too!

Heffron Park was where I walked my dog in the mid 70's, there wasn't much else than the swimming pool or a very basic rough bike track. Now with Netball centre, Soccer centre, Tennis centre & the under construction of the high performance area for the Bunnies. This park is hard to go past as feature for the local residents living in Maroubra, Matraville or Pagewood area.

Fantastic park for families. It’s unique and scooters are ideal here with the just like real life roads and traffic lights that work! Great fully fenced areas and dog friendly around the park. Toilets and a lot of space for a bbq or picnic and other play equipment too. Five stars

Heffron Park is amazing! It is undeniably far more than just a park. It seems to cater for EVERYONE! All ages, sizes, genders, abilities etc . It facilitates a hugely diverse & popular range of sporting activities & their corresponding requirements ie venues, equipment, supervision, etc. The fields are vast & expansive, catering for netball, basketball, tennis, athletics, soccer, football, swimming, diving, weights, bike riding, cricket, bowls walks etc etc etc ... Ones imagination is the only limit I can see here. In my experience, there has never been a problem with overcrowding, just a healthy, functional, manageable balance of various different age groups spread evenly over the extensive range of activities. I have never felt out of place or uncomfortable or excruciatingly self conscious as I possibly often can in such potentially competitive type environments. All the equipment & facilities from what I have seen , is modern, state of the art, & exceptionally high quality. My only distress was the attitude of some of the staff members. On the whole, they were exceptionally polite, friendly, extroverted, helpful & engaging. There were however quite a handful that were noticeably contrasted in their behaviour. Rude, disinterested, dismissive, invalidating , patronising, & even at moments, somewhat alarmingly hostile. But all in al Heffron Park is definitely worth experiencing..I highly recommend it to those who love challenging their physical being, love Mother Nature; the Land & the Elements & love people & interaction in all...

The south eastern area that has been home to return to for many, had a mix of country once self sufficiency farming from ancient moons ago with a the city that slowly crept up on very slowly, to being modern & somewhat contemporary. Has the mix of multicultural Australasia Oceania had a new breathe life into a new generation of people who embrace the noise of area that's being forgotten seems like stood still since ww2. What unperceived modernisation could impact on the generations still emerging from same struggles to survive? This intrenchment will be not be given a hand up to stand with neighbours, or will this pocket of the impoverishment ideology continue to justify statisticians, for the droplet economy that public housing estates are ignored for the purposes that it service providers should advance itself. Many ministers bilateral or anyone else perks had passed onto the next. The lights are kept on the street, garbage is collected, woman is protected, but no one' in the office to answer to the estates calls to arms which are crumbling ww2 which are museums for those who Department accepts limited liability, to aid offshore investments. Yes the park is great! Sorry got...

Great park - well maintained & clean. Yeah it has 'basketball, netball, & tennis courts' - BUTH - other than that there's no 'wow' factor or anything to 'woo' you to the park. It's pretty much dead - other than the school students using it for sport - and fitness camp groups. The park in general all together could do with a major revamp to improve it (360 degrees) - making it much more accessible and User Friendly for all Age Groups - by adding in some amenities - EG: gym equipment / playground area / shade area / seating (benches) spread throughout the park with shade / water found surrounded with seating / trails/path throughout the park making it accessible to walk it throughout and around. It'll not only spruce Heffron Parks appearance but inject some long needed life into it. Shame to see 95% of park dead when it can be made to be enjoyed...
