I WAS eating from here daily (specifically this store) until this experience!!!
Up until today I have been a daily eater of their vegetarian taco for lunch, not because I'm vegetarian but because it comes with avocado and plenty of veggies and is quick and easy for lunch.
Today I ordered my usual 3 tacos except I felt like a bit extra avocado than normal so I added extra, and I also felt like mixing 2 sauces and paid extra for that too across 3 tacos I paid over $22 which is my guilty pleasure. I opened the box and what I saw was a smidgen of baked beans and a teenager coming home late from school level of cheese over the usual amount. But there was also a very distinct lack of other toppings and absolutely no avocado let alone the standard amount that should of come with the vegetarian taco.
Ok fine I'll call the store and ask the manager if I could run down and swap my order for a proper one.
So I called the store and the person who answered had advised me that there was absolutely no manager I could speak with and that it was only themselves and one trainee running the store and that it was all the trainees fault that my order was incorrectly prepared.
I asked if there was anyone I could call and she told me that she was a supervisor and could help. So I asked her if I could come and swap it for a properly made lunch and she sat in silence on the other end of the phone for nearly 20 seconds until I asked can I please get a reply?
To which she repeated "there is no management at this store"
I asked who hired the trainee and if I could speak with that person and she said "oh you mean my boss"... Yes your management. Can I please speak with them.
"We have no management".
I told her I'd call head office but their number ended up being a full answering machine probably because of the weekend but this just made me not want to support this store anymore.
I don't normally take pictures of my tacos but I assure you they are normally overflowing with vegetables and chilli's. The amount across all 3 tacos was roughly what I'd drop out of my meal while eating it not what would be in it from the store.
Also the share of beans was roughly 1/3 what they normally are and the cheese was oddly 3x and it absolutely ruined the flavour.
I photographed the 2 tacos I didn't eat out of pure sadness that my favourite lunch place is no more over a bad experience they themselves only made worse.
I feel sorry for the trainee, being thrown under the bus by a supervisor and having no management to turn to if there's a problem instore.
As much as it pains me to one star my favourite franchise this particular store deserves it. Guess I can't be cheeky and order Zambrinis for lunch anymore as you have no choice of which store it comes from.
-edit after reply from management: I replied to their response below within 20 minutes of it being posted and finally got a response yesterday offering a store credit for accidentally giving me the wrong order.
I had to let Mr Hardeep Singh know that I did not want a store credit because as I stated in my review that I will not be returning to their store, and that it was not due to the food itself but rather the fact that a supervisor blamed a trainee to a customer after identifying that they were the only person on shift with the trainee and as someone who has worked in hospitality for years I will not tolerate seeing a trainee get bullied by a supervisor like that.
Mr Singh the supervisor who was working on the day of this post being made is solely to blame for my vocal boycotting. The food was nice it's just a pity you support workplace bullying and have appeared to offer me a band-aid of a store credit instead of addressing the issue. Read moreI went to this shop I was waiting for service for 3 minutes and they ignored me and they served the customer who just walked into store and when said I was next, the Indian guy with beard who is a store owner discriminated me in front of the customers and told me the reason they didn’t serve me because I was wearing face mask and I said is this joke are you serious, he shouted at me said get out in front of other customers, this store owner actually disrespected me before as well , I will take this further and will make a complain to head office as well!
Edit: To the owner reply ,you have no idea what you’re talking about first off all I talked about discrimination how you treated me ,I just kindly tried to show my order to you and your staff when there was no customer left straight away you discriminated me and you said I can’t even see your face, you never talk about this ! And on that day you never talked about my waiting area or queue on that if you just told me “ hey mate you can’t wait here you should be waiting here I wouldn’t even make a big deal but instead you told me I can’t even see your face you are wearing mask and later on you shouted at me said get out and when I called customer support and they called you back regarding the order they said you were rude to them as well ! Read moreI went into this place to order a quesadilla. When I saw it had meat, I asked the girl if it would be possible to make it without meat, just cheese. She said yes “ I supposed it wouldn’t be a problem”. She asked again, “Just cheese?” and I confirmed. She replied, “No problem.”
At that moment, another blonde girl came out from the back. The girl who was attending me told her, “She wants a quesadilla with just cheese.” With the worst attitude, this new employee looked at me and said, “But we have to charge you the same.”
On the menu, there was a cheese-only quesadilla, but it was part of a combo with chips and a soda, labeled for kids. The price, even with the combo, was half that of the “large” meat quesadilla. I asked, “Can’t you make me the cheese-only quesadilla like in the combo? I just don’t want the extras.” She replied, “NO.”
