I came in last Friday around midday to order lunch for myself and a coworker. The food here has always been great, which is why I keep coming back, but unfortunately this visit was a bit disappointing.
The person who took my order seemed visibly unhappy and made the interaction feel rushed like taking my order was a chore. I figured maybe they were having a bad day, so I made an effort to be extra polite and quick, especially since I sometimes struggle with reading and pronunciation. I asked for the halloumi wrap, but when I got to my car I realised I’d been given halloumi chips instead.
I brought the food back and politely explained the mix-up. Assuming I hadn’t been clear. While they did correct the order, I saw the staff member roll their eyes at a coworker before doing so, which left me feeling uncomfortable.
The food itself was delicious as always and I understand mistakes happen, but the customer service on this visit took away from the experience. I’m hoping this was...
Read moreAs I entered to order, the lady at the counter was on her phone so I had to wait for her conversation to end. I mentioned I'd like to eat in, she said I could sit where ever I liked - from the 3 tables available, all 3 had rubbish and dirty plates on them. I'm guessing she was too busy on her phone to clean up.
My food finally arrived... A chicken tender wrap with a side of chips. Considering this was 23 dollars I was expecting a nice Greek wrap. Anyway, who ever made the wrap clearly doesn't understand the concept, there was so much coleslaw that you couldn't actually fold the pita into a wrap. The chicken tenders werent even the length of the wrap, they were tiny. The pita break was cold and clearly stale - the one piece of lettuce was brown on the edges and the fries were obviously sitting out for quite some time.
Please spend your money somewhere else. It's quite clear they have 0 care factor about their occupation and the...
Read moreCame to order a souvlaki for lunch. Benches looked a little messy, nothing too bad. Watched one of the guys out the back wearing one glove, but the gloved had was used to handle utensils while the naked hand handled the food? Strange way to avoid cross contamination, he then proceeded throw the tongs to the prep bench. They fell on the ground beside the bench. He picked them up and just popped them back onto the bench where one of the female staff began to flip the Pitas with the tongs that were on the floor. Of course I asked to cancel my order and apparently had received a refund to my card. Cleanliness and hygiene don't seem to be held to a high standard here. It's a real shame I was excited that my national cuisine was opened at this shopping centre. Some things you can't ever come back from, this is one of the things that will ensure I'll never eat here....
