Best thing about this place that does the BBQ skewered is the fact that the staff will cook it all for you behind the back and simply serve them to you already cooked and ready to be consumed.
You get on your table these ready with little candle lights underneath to keep the skewers a bit warm. So you can just enjoy your company without worrying about cooking the skewers yourself.
The only caveat to this place is that you must book in advance as it is usually always full. Best to book in advance to secure a table in advance.
The other downside is that all tables have only 90minutes to eat altogether as they are looking to flip the tables asap. So it’s not a place you can simply take your time and order drinks and take your time.
Within your allotted 90minutes you’ll be able to place two batches of order. There’s the initial order and then they’ll usually remind you when you have around 40 minutes left that this is your last chance to order. Once the clock hits around 1 hour and 10 minutes the staff might come by rudely to start packing up away plates etc.
But even so, the tastes of the skewers still makes this a nice 5/5 place for dining. Just don’t expect to sit...
Read moreWide range of skewers, side dishes and drinks. The meat is perfectly seasoned and leaves you craving more. They provide a candle lit hot plate for your cooked skewers to rest on so you can enjoy them at your own pace as they keep warm on the plate. There is a 90 min seating time and they will tend to encourage you to order asap so there is enough time to eat and order more if need be. The wait time for the cooked skewers to come out isn't long at all and the staff work fairly efficiently. They are popular and quite busy even on the weekdays so there is a gentle nudge for you to order/leave asap so they can turn around the tables as quickly as possible, which is understandable. If you want to have a long catch with your friends then this is not the place to go. The food is very tasty though so you can always eat here and grab dessert at another joint along...
Read moreFood was ok, the quality was a bit low and the portions were a bit small. Would NOT RECOMMEND IF YOU DONT LIKE SPICY OR SALTY FOOD. It very heavily seasoned to the point it feels off eating it after two bites. Also not very money worth (cost 100$ for two people 😓)
Went on a Saturday and had a lot of people, the food delivery was slow.
When I went it was 5x beef skewers for $13.50 even though it was tiny. For reference, Lamb and cumin has $12 for 5 skewers and is 2.5x the size of zhengs. I usually can be full with 5 skewers ($12) but i could not be full after 15 skewers here and it costed me $50 the same as fish barrel!! :,(
It was ok but I would not come back and would not really recommend this place.
Also they have a 5% discount if u pay in cash if u really wanna go (and a 90mins...
