The Press is without a doubt, one of if not the best bar I've ever been to. The theme is so complete and elegant, from the music, to the walls and decor, all to the mannerisms and dress of staff. Even the paper the menu is printed off is the old style unrefined paper you would find in an era like the prohibition. The drinks are a fair price for the atmosphere offered, as well as the quality of the drinks themselves. From pressing the buzzer when you enter through the secret door all till you walk out the door, I haven't found a single place that matches the elegance and atmosphere of the Press. Keep this bar secret, don't allow it to change, everyone needs the chance to be able to experience it.

Terrific service, absolutely cannot fault it. I was a little confused at the entry with the buzzer, but soon understood how to enter. On first look, it is a quiet subtle bar, but the staff compensate with their gorgeous personality. Myself and my partner only went for drinks, yet were served bar snacks as well. Great recommendations for drinks, and serving suggestions. Would definately reccomend the venue for larger groups, or even for that quiet date night. It did the job for us, so it should for you too!

Coolest club out there.. funky band playing there called Jimmy Craz Band.. they have a cool selection of spirits. We had the smokey Whiskey .. they actually smoked cedar wood and put the whiskey in a bell jar and smoked it out and like what the heck !!!... and wow.. Get yourself out to this bar.. its like a hidden bar too.. you have to buzz a doorbell and then they open up for you.. then you go down these stairs and its a cool joint to hang.

Visiting as an interstate band of professionals, we had a great experience seeing a band this afternoon. Went back this evening to visit again. Venue full, that’s ok. Walked away to find another venue and we were aggressively confronted by press club security accusing us of trying to access the rear entrance when in fact we were going down a lane to what we thought was another music venue. The young security guy quickly ran to the front door of the Press Club where we were going past to walk to the Tamworth Hotel and we were again abused by other security staff in what a completely misunderstood situation. The behaviour of your security is completely disgusting and emotionally misguided. We...

After a beautiful dinner elsewhere that night, the evening called for a nightcap... But where to go to find a classy, relaxed but lively atmosphere? The Press! From it's Prohibition Era evocative concealed doorway entrance to the first wiff of polished timbers, brass, leather and whiskey, the entire establishment made us feel like we were life-long friends slipping into our regular haunt! Attentive staff who knew their product and a decor to make Sean Connery feel shabby only amplified the pleasure for every sense! Embrace something new when you go and relax once you do - the ambience will only lengthen you conversation and enhance your experience! But shhhh -...
