Z wine is a quirky little wine tasting place right in the heart of Tanunda town. Beautiful flowers all around the shop, a kids corner with toys and old type writers, camera and phones to entertain the little ones. They do fantastic tasting plate for the adults and also children. Our two years old was so excited that he is getting his own tasting plate! A real treat for the whole family. We can't drink too much alcohol unfortunately as hubby has to drive so we only ordered a glass of riesling to share but the lady offer us a taste of their late harvest sweet wine for free, it tastes a bit like mascato and it's delicious. While we happily sat and enjoy our food and wine and the shop starting to fill up with people, the lady didn't forget to come over and ask us if everything is alright and if we need anything else.
Who say you can't enjoy good food and wine when you have kids? We really like to thank the lady who served us, we don't know if she is the owner or staff but we certainly feel very welcome with our two year old toddler and 8mths old baby. Thanks for giving us such a good time in the Barossa...
Read moreIf I could give no stars I would, absolutely terrible service if you can call it that. Decided to pop in for a drink after a show around 9:40pm Saturday When we walked in and approached the counter we were ask “what do we want” wow that’s an amazing greeting in its self to which I asked what do you have. The guy just stood there. So my friend asked for a Shiraz to which this was poured and then immediately asked for payment before we all even finished ordering or had looked at a menu that wasn’t offered
My other friend asked for a Chardonnay to which the man said we are sold out. But no suggestions/recommend for substitute offer to look at a menu. Just said again “what do you want.” I agin said what do you have. Again no reply so then we said well can we see a menu. At this point I chose not to give this establishment my money and won’t be recommending anyone. Spend your money elsewhere because this business clearly thinks they don’t need to give any...
Read moreIf you want subpar service yet great food and wine, look no further. The (unsure if manager however she looked like it) really emphasised the different service she provided to people. If you look like you may be an asset to purchasing she will give you fantastic service and a welcoming approach, if you don’t fit her criteria you best believe you’ll not get the same nice attitude. Was bizzare observing her different altercations with people based on age and appearance (note if you are in the younger generation or have kids you’re jot in luck). Also the young gentleman who serves might want to learn some customer service tips and tricks because himself and half the other staff floating through really look like they don’t want to be there, assuming they clearly are learning from their manager the mature lady. The customer service has made me not want to return which is a shame because the food is delectable as...
