Charcoal Chicken — Restaurant in Taree

Great food. I am quite the connoisseur of all foods poultry related especially Chicken and Turkey (especially at Christmas). I am currently 52 years old, and have recently moved to the Taree area from my childhood home so the Central Coast. I have eaten many Charcoal Chickens over those years, some good, some not so good. So it was a great relief to discover a Local Charcoal Chicken shop in the Taree area. I am quite fussy and so didn't know what to expect. The Taree Charcoal Chicken shop DID NOT disappoint, it was amongst the Tastiest Charcoal Chicken I have eaten in my 52 years. The chicken was moist and delicious with that "Classic Charcoal Chicken" taste and seasonings that I've grown to love. The salad varieties, sizes and prices were very reasonable and who could go past a couple of roast potatoes or some piping hot chips (with Chicken salt of course) and a serving of their very tasty gravy to accompany the rest of the meal. I am unsure who was more impressed myself, or the other members of my family? well done Taree Charcoal Chicken, you are now the first I hope of many great "food finds" that I have whilst getting to know the area and exploring what other delicious offerings are available here in the Mid North Coast area. After reading the reviews to find a good place for dinner 13 hours into our 16 hour trip, we are slightly disapointed with what we ended up having. Chips are ok but not the greatest we have ever had, they need a little more salt and less talking up. Chicken wasnt as moist as i was led to believe. They did look to have other options which i would be willing to try ie roast pumpkin and scolloped potatoes but thats all i could see as the had packed everthing up and were cleaned up ready to go by 8pm. Excellent customer service! The first time that I went back there after years of living away, a young man with long hair and polite manners took my order and prepared it while at the same time serving the other customers in the shop. I thought there would be a bit if a wait because the young man was serving everyone on his own. Surprisingly though there wasn't much of a wait at all before my order was ready I didn't receive someone else's order by mistake, it was my order! and nothing was missing or forgotten, everything I had asked...
