Cafe Thyme Taree — Restaurant in Taree

What a great find this wonderful cafe is in Taree. Walked in, and we were seated straight away. It's a cute place with original photos of the local area. A very extensive menu for both breakfast and lunch. We order lunch. We started with drinks, an orchy pineapple juicdered e, and a vanilla malted milk shake, and it came in an aluminium milkshake container. The old-fashioned ones. We ordered salt and pepper calamari, and it came with salad and a side of French fries. Golden fried Whitting and salad and a side of French fries. The seafood was fresh and very tasty, and the side of fries was a good size. The salad was fresh and crisp. They also had some cakes and muffins in the front counter. They looked delicious. Good customer service from the lady at POS. However the coffee was pretty disappointing. Informed that there was no small sized T/A coffees, but they could do low tide on their 12oz - great! Ordered two double shot low tide flat whites to T/A and both came out full. We informed the waitress that this was the case and she swiftly and kindly took them away. Only to be brought back moments later whereby it was evident that the coffees were not remade but rather the staff member had just decanted the 4oz difference and brought them back to us. Wouldn’t be too mad if I wasn’t relying on the double shot to get me through the rest of my road trip!! Possibly just overwhelmed on the coffee machine with orders, and I can empathise, but do expect better than that when you pay an increasing amount of money...

After having a fourteen hour fast for a blood test, the bacon and eggs late breakfast I had was most satisfying. Putting that long fast aside, I would say that it was the most delicious café breakfast I have had for many a year. The latte which followed was equally of the high standard of deliciousness. A very pleasant young lady took our order and kept an eye on us during our visit, ensuring that all was well. I have no hesitation in awarding my highest non medical rating, (four stars) and look forward to...
