Go here or throw your money in the bin - same thing. I’m surprised they are in business. All too much trouble to serve me when I was the only one in the shop and when they did serve me both girls were so surly and rude. The hamburgers were just disgusting - one sloppy mess and the chips and scallops were cold and all dried up as though they had been cooked over and over. Need I wonder why the chips were cold. Did you know that they wait until they have say, half a dozen or more orders going with the boxes spread out on the bench. They have a bulk lot of chips cooking and when they are done they tip the chips in each of the boxes. They then leave them there to get cold while they get the rest of the customers’ orders ready. The small town "rude and stressed" vibe is an embarrassment. If the owners or staff don't want to be there on a public holiday or busy period, don't open.

This town (20 years ago) was filled with friendly, hard-working small business owners who treated people well, generating return business year after year.

Add long wait times and missing items from the order without an apology (just a hateful glare on return to pick it up), and a trip to KFC starts to feel like a better option.

Been here a few times and everytime we swear that was the last time. Oil is old, fried food is dark brown, overcooked & drowned in oil. Ordered flake, wasn't given flake (flake doesn't have bones, probably don't even have any, nice for a 3 year old!.) 2 dinner packs, one comes with a dinner roll, one doesn't. Potato scallops are disgusting, got 6, threw 4 out. Burgers are average at best, go to Bev's takeaway for the best burgers in town! Can't believe someone else hasn't started a decent fish and chip shop in town, this place would be out of business...
