Ordered a cake for a celebration for a particular pick up time & took the detour into Tea Gardens from the highway to do this as we are travelling on to a small celebrations in which this cake was requested to take . When I arrived & got served the staff member at first thought it was another order, then to be told they pushed the cook time back on our order because they needed to cook more pies & won’t be ready for another hour 1 1/2 . So it was a money based decision !! When we ordered the cake two staff members were involved in the phone call & it was rushed phone call their end, however a pick up time & phone number was given to the Bakery for the order. As a business you think they would have offered me another alternative but honestly they were just looking at the next customers wallet & now we have to find an alternative cake on a Sunday . Horrendous customer service by the staff I dealt with in store & on the phone afterwards. Wasted our time driving 16km in & out but that will be the...

Giving 4 stars as I dont want to drag the rating of an independent business down, otherwise would be lower.

However, we ordered a vegan sausage roll and a salad sandwich, the salad sandwich came without Avocado (which was listed in the ingredients) - fine, not the end of the world.

The main issue was that rather than giving us the vegan sausage roll we received the gluten-free meat sausage roll. My partner took a few bites to realise this, having not eaten meat for 4 years. Upon telling the lady serving us we got a rather blazè response with very little if any apology, then switched the roll for a vegan one. I think any food establishment should firstly, be more careful to make sure the food served is the correct item, especially when including obvious dietary requirements, and secondly, should be more overtly apologetic in instances where this does happen, rather than...

Went in today to buy 2 hamburger rolls, standing waiting to be served I was ignored when an obvious local walked in after and was served immediately with laughter and chatting. Finally served next, I noticed a nice looking passionfruit cake in the window “Marked at $7.50. “ When paying I questioned the $10 plus cost for cake and 2 rolls. I was told very abruptly the cake was $8.50, I said it’s got a $7.50 price tag on it. I was told that was incorrect and if I wanted it was $8.50. Other customers looked and agreed with me. I didn’t bother arguing anymore with the little dark haired upstart it would have been futile. I left the store drove to the nice bakery at Hawks nest and spent another $30 on pies cakes and rolls. This girl needs to work on her customer service and manners. As a visitor to the area, we wont be back to that store. Ps passionfruit cake...

i’ve got pies for you 👀 this lil bakery serving up some delicious baked goods so ofc i had to try! immediately knew i wanted to try their pies and they did not disappoint one bit 👌 we got two different pies; chicken and mushroom. and also 2 cheese crusted cheese and bacon rolls. the pies were $7.50 each and they were well worth. The flaky crust has more layers than an onion and was nice and hot. The filling for both pies was saucy, filled with gravy and generous filling and seasoned really great. The staff also gave us free sauce thank you! It was so delicious! The rolls were also a winner especially with that delectable cheese crust. One of the best pies i’ve had! It was so yummy. I hope to try your pies again! Thank you

More of a local bakery than a destination to detour for. Fans of fluffy /pillowy pie tops will like this, but the pies are baked in their tin foil, leading to soggy bottoms. Pies are saucy, with a little less meat than expected. Sauce and cheese and in jalapeno were great. Disappointed by the Steak Dianne pie, as the consistency of the starch augmented sauce was off-putting - it was gluggy. Looks like beef cheese n bacon is the go to for this joint but we didn't get the chance to try. Like their pies their Danish was pillowy on top, but undercooked on the bottom. Context:Came here looking for a good beer jalapeno and cheese pie, to compate to others in the area, having swung by a certain bbq place earlier in the trip.

What a gem! Directly across the road for the Tea Gardens pub/hotel and conveniently located in a mini shopping center with ample parking, this little gem has everything you need for breakie, lunch or a tasty treat. We had breakfast the first day. Bacon & egg hollandaise bagel is divine. Cakes for arvo tea, then breakie the next day. Easily the best meal in Tea Garden at a great price. The coffee was pretty good too. I was even able to purchase the local honey there. The lady behind the counter could do with a customer service training program-hence one missing star. 5 out of 5 for the tasty treats.
