Stepping into Saigon Chopsticks on The Entrance Road, we were immediately struck by the authentic Vietnamese decor and warm ambiance. The interior is adorned with traditional touches that make you feel like you’ve been transported to a cozy café in Vietnam. From the gentle glow of hanging lanterns to the rustic wooden accents, the atmosphere was both inviting and true to Vietnamese culture.
On to the food – absolutely delicious and genuinely authentic Vietnamese cuisine. We started with the fresh spring rolls, which arrived tightly wrapped and filled with crisp veggies and herbs. They were incredibly fresh and came with a tasty peanut dipping sauce. Next, I tried the spicy beef noodle soup, a dish that truly impressed me. The broth was rich and aromatic with a pleasant spicy kick, and the tender beef slices and rice noodles made it a hearty, comforting bowl. It’s the kind of authentic flavor you’d expect from a street stall in Saigon. We also shared a beef stir-fry, which was loaded with tender beef strips and crunchy vegetables in a savory sauce. Every bite burst with flavor, and it was evident the ingredients were fresh. The menu offers a great variety of Vietnamese classics, and everything we tasted was cooked to perfection.
Value for money is excellent here. Portion sizes were very generous – we were pleasantly surprised by how much food we got with each dish. Despite the ample servings, prices were very reasonable, making it a great option for both families and travelers on a budget. We left feeling completely satisfied and even had a bit to take away, which speaks to how generous the portions are. It’s clear that Saigon Chopsticks cares about providing great value along with great taste.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Saigon Chopsticks to anyone visiting The Entrance. The combination of delicious, authentic Vietnamese food, charming decor, and good value for money makes it a standout. Whether you’re craving a flavorful bowl of noodle soup or some fresh spring rolls, this place delivers an outstanding experience. Don’t miss out on this gem at The Entrance – it’s a must-visit for a true...
Read moreWas quiet disappointed on our last visit. These guys are normally our go to for a takeaway Crispy Pork Banh Mi. Which are delicious. But this time we opted to dine in and try something different. I ordered the beef pancake. Presentation was poor and messy. The meat was tasteless but the pancake was ok. I did like the light crispness to it. My partner had a lemongrass Banh Mi. This lacked carrot and corriander. In the end we decided to share a deep fried ice-cream. What a total disappointment and rip-off. For $12 i expected a decent sized ball. Nope i kid you not it was the smallest fried icecream ever. It resembled a small piece of Ravioli. Even the waitress was embarrassed to bring it to the table. When my partner went to pay he did mention the small size to staff. He replied he did ask the chef to make it bigger and gave us a $2 discount. To be honest it wasn't worth $1. We proceeded down to Ken's for one of his delicious profiteroles to make up for the teaspoon of dessert we had. Never again. Oh and if you have left overs they do charge $1 for each container. Read moreNot impressed. Waited 15 mins for someone to take our order, i literally had to wave my arms around. Ordered a bunch of food after waiting for our meals to come (15 mins) they came and told us they had no banh mi, no sugar cane prawns, no bbq pork. So we had to reorder food and wait another 20 mins for our food. Asked for it to come altogether, nope it didn't. Still hadn't recieved our drinks til our meals finished. Crispy chicken was old and dry and fried rice was bland (plus a lovely black hair). Pork belly was too tough so couldn't eat it. My whole family finished their meals and i still hadn't received my beef pho. Surprisingly enough the beef pho was pleasant but not worth the time coming back for. Finally the drinks came, small amount of drink in a large cupful of ice. Still thirsty. Wait staff under the pump and short staffed....
