Cafe Escape — Restaurant in The Entrance

The chef has no business being in a kitchen. I ordered eggs Benedict and my partner got the vego breakfast, we also got two glasses of orange juice. Let me start by saying the orange juice was great and the customer service from the ladies was excellent. Onto the food, the eggs on both meals were so over cooked. The rest of the vego breakfast was great but let’s be real it’s just vegetables which are hard to stuff up. Went here on a whim and asked for the gozleme. The chap behind the counter recommended I try the Cafe Special Chicken wrap and said it was very good and to let him know what I thought.., and I accepted.

BIG MISTAKE.

$16+ for a cold wrap, with cold bbq chicken, tomato and onion practically floating in what I can only describe as a combination of mayonnaise and sweet chilli sauce in a standard green Mission wrap from Woollies. The sauce was really all I could taste and unfortunately it wasn't very pleasant.

Had breakfast here last week. Terrible! toast not toasted, eggs greasy, too much butter and nothing with it. Vegetarian wrap was tasteless, very thin with extremely little ricotta cheese and nothing else. Orange juice not squeezed, no chilled glass. Coffee not decent strength. Im sticking to Eurobean and Water's Edge, where the coffee is really European and the food is great. Those good restaurants were full so that was why we came here.
