We came here on a cool Friday morning shortly after opening at 0800. The staff was super friendly and quick to assist us in getting seated. We choose outside as we had 2 kids and it was difficult to keep masks on them. The menu is simple, but the benefit of that is that the items they do are absolutely brilliant. I had an omelette and added bacon and hash browns, my partner had eggs and toast with added bacon, tomatoes and hash browns, and the kids had the kids pancakes. This was the best breakfast from our week long stay in the Shelly Beach area and I highly recommend the restaurant for people with or without kids. The portions were HUGE so keep that in mind when asking for extras. My omelette had to have had 4 or 5 eggs in it, there was tons of cheese, I got so much bacon that I couldn't shake a fork at. My kids got pancakes that !come with ice cream! and sprinkles that I now have to do on pancakes at home. Both of the adult meals came with these huge pieces of sourdough that were delicious and I just can't say enough about, and I regret not getting a loaf before leaving. Finally, let's talk about the flat whites that we got. They were fantastic. I lost my espresso machine almost a year ago and this coffee was the welcome respite in a land of instant coffee. I can't wait to visit again, maybe for lunch next time. 11/10, cannot...

If I can give this place more than 5 stars I would have done it in a heartbeat. Not only they serve amazing coffee and food with a great and cosy atmosphere, the owners of the Cafe Marwin and Yuko have reinforced my beliefs that there are still plenty of good people out there . I visited the place on Sunday during a weekend away from Sydney with few mates and I ended up dropping my wallet behind one of the chairs ,I only realised I lost my wallet on my way back home and called the places I remember visiting during the day including Usui Cafe and they said no one dropped of a wallet ,I ended up giving up on finding it and stopped all the cards ,to my surprise and delight I get a call the next day from the Cafe that they found the wallet with cash and everything and they are happy to express post it with delivery insurance to my house ,I offered many times the cash in the wallet as a thank you for their help but Marwin insisted on taking nothing other than the cost of the postage and was just happy to help ,I cannot thank them enough for their honesty and kindness, whenever I am at the entrance I know where to go for a feed and for anyone who is visiting the area ,if you don't stop at Usui for a bite or a coffee you are definitely...

Very unpleasant experience! We visited the café today (17/4) around 9:30am to have a bfast with my whole family. I came in, approached the lady (shoulder length hair) and asked if we can dine-in and she immediately responded with a loud voice that they’re full (even there are 2 tables inside) and she directed me to go outside. I didn’t not mind and told my fam that we can order take away instead. While waiting for our food, a table outside became available and we sat in. When this “shoulder length black hair” lady gave us our order (over $200 in total), she told all of us to leave the table and just eat somewhere as other customers are waiting. We are mindful of the new group who just arrived and they are more than willing to wait like we did. 10 min sitting time won’t hurt, right? We were all surprised and can’t believe how poor her service was hence we didn’t have the appetite to finish our meal. It is just sad that this is still happening.

I apologise to the owner for leaving this review but I had to. I hope you can do something about it so no one can experience what we had...

Unfortunately me and my family were disappointed when we visited in April this year because my son discovered egg shells in his omelette. We spoke up about it but the lady just said "sorry, I'll let the chef know" and the chef didn't offer any compensation for this. The avocado was quite patchy with dark spots all over it, from the big brekkie we ordered and also most of the bacon was overcooked to the point that my husband couldn't eat it. When we informed the waitress she said "I'll let the chef know" but there was no apology from the chef nor offer to compensate for the burnt bacon. We understand that accidents can happen in the kitchen but it's definitely not a nice feeling for the customer to not be compensated or given a sincere apology when we specifically notified you of the incidents discussed above. Flies were also buzzing around the whole dining in experience because the front door was left wide open. This issue should also be addressed.

Great Cafe. Worth the extra little walk away from the mall. The food is magnificent. I ordered fried eggs on toast with some sides, and generous servings meant that you would think they were the main with the eggs as sides. I had the Yuzu Mohito which was non-alcoholic with iced tea. It was extraordinarily delicious. Those who live sausages might be disappointed that they are not a side option, but I love sausages with my cooked breakfast and didn't miss them. I did miss that there wasn't lime milkshakes, but the yuzu lime mohito made up for any loss I might have felt. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Option of dining in or out on street side (which on any not raining or bitterly cold day) is excellent. They also have a range of awesome baked sour dough beads from Somersby. The pieces that I had with my breakfast, and they were about 1.5cm-2cm thick suggest that bread lovers should check these out as well.

Accredited Google Review ✅ We were looking for somewhere to enjoy a nice morning breakfast 🍳… And we found this little gem! Amazing hospitality and plenty to choose from sushi cafe offers a range of delicious breakfasts , lunches and beverages for all tastebuds. We enjoyed sitting outside by the beach and eating some eggs and bacon along with a delicious burger and a really really tasty coffee. I was well served by a young lady there and the team brought out our orders exactly how we wanted it with no mistakes at all. Back to the coffee ☕️ Mmmmm…. I want one again ! Im not a expert in coffee but I do appreciate a quality coffee from time to time and this cafe delivered the goods. You won’t pay too much either for a meal 10-15$ roughly and you will receive a quality meal to enjoy. Go check them out for sure !
