My family and I had the pleasure of dining at Coastal Heaven tonight. The o husband and wife team runs the restaurant and kitchen together, with a focus on South Indian cuisine from their home town of Hyderabad. We really enjoyed the warm and familial atmosphere the owners and staff created in the cozy setting. Service was very attentive and detailee. The chef even came to our table with a curry sample to check with my wife if the spiciness level of the dish was acceptable. The quality of the food was excellent and reminded me of how Indian food tasted during my trips to India. It’s very hard to find such authenticity outside India. While their menu is very focused, the owners can prepare your favorite dish upon request. 5+ star experience. Make sure to eat here when you visit the entrance and fancy strikes you for some authentic South Asian flavors.
Update 28.12.24: We visited Coastal Heaven again on our day trip to the entrance. It felt like a return home and the food was just as fantastic as we remembered. Truly a “taste from home”. Our only regret is that Coastal Heaven is not closer to our home in Sydney. But it is definitely always worth...

The first thing you see when you enter the courtyard is a sign saying "Strangers Are Friends We Have Not Met Yet" and judging by our experience with this establishment, we would love to be friends with the beautiful family who own and operate this restaurant. We had no intention of eating in the middle of the afternoon but were drawn in by the amazing aroma wafting out from the kitchen. We ordered 3 items as a snack: The Veg Bhaji, Veg Samosas and Chicken Tikka. All 3 were exquisite, freshly made, perfectly cooked and the depth of the flavors and textures superb. Everything was beautifully presented on wooden boards.
We did not have the Dosa, but we saw it at all the other tables in the courtyard, so it must be a house specialty and it looked amazing.
The owners could not have been more friendly and the cup of complimentary chai was most appreciated. We plan to return as soon as possible and if they maintain this level of service and the quality of food, this will become an absolute favourite on the...
Read moreAbsolutely delicious food. BTW Julio the chaat and cucumber is a street food so you are allowed to ad some of your own flair ya know! Anyway went here tonight and was blown away by the flavours of this restaurant. First up lamb chops aka cutlets marinated and cooked in the tandoor. Omg outstanding flavour and a beautiful char yum. Next up goat curry which was so delicious my partner was happy as she lives goat being fijian/Indian. Butter chicken deliciously good with creamy buttery taste it really lived up to my tastes. The potato and eggplant curry topped it off with a light sauce especially with the lovely garlic Naan. I really loved the Naan as it was thinner than most places and crunchy not doughy. The owners were lovely with a real family feel. We were full to the brim and I'll definitely be back when we come back. Thank you! Ps had to laugh when we got a coke with the goat on it lol it's pictured next to the goat curry. BTW we ordered medium spice and it was perfect with a slight kick but not burn...
