Disappointing, after spending $120 on lunch we walked away rather unsatisfied.

Upon arriving at the beautiful venue we took a seat at what seemed a vacant table, as many had been reserved. To then be abruptly questioned if we had a booking without even a hello from seemed to be the FOH manager. We informed her we did not have a booking and she then turned away to her computer to then be ignored. Lucky a young vibrant girl was there to try and save the day and politely asked if we would like some drinks. We hesitantly ordered 3 thick shakes and one milk shake thinking the $12 price tag of each drink would deliver an amazing thick shake well worth the price. We received our drinks rather disappointed as the milkshake was flavourless and the thick shakes had to be sent back as they did not resemble a thick shake at all. The FOH manager received our complaint and instantly became annoyed and seemed it inconvenient that we did not like our watery drinks after what seemed a large request to have our order amended. We proceeded to order two serving of tacos and a burger and some cake. We received our food to find our servings of tacos are cold and worked out to be $10.00 per taco as we got 2 each, the chicken was dry and unseasoned. The cream on the side of the cake was melted as it seemed like it was sitting under a heat lamp for to long. The burger tasted good but lacked presentation.

Feeling defeated by the experience at venue that we really had been excited about having lunch at, we paid our $120 bill and left.

I don’t often write reviews and let a lot of things slide when eating out but if I was the owner of this establishment I would not be proud to have my name next to this...

In Toowoomba for the weekend and found the Finch was well located with generally positive reviews. Came Saturday morning and enjoyed hot coffees, fast and hot meals. Decided to come in and have the same for Sunday breakfast.

Coffee was just above warm with caramel still waiting to mixed in at the bottom of mug, but at least lots of time was spent on the Latte art...

Big breakfast was brought to table 20 mins after other meals were delivered to table. This was after the meal was requested for a second time, yet still took another 5 mins. The other meals were finished by this point. Just how I like to eat, with other people finished and wanting to leave... Warmest thing was the single hash brown that was at best slightly warm. Missing one of the two ordered hash browns. Toast was cold and moist from sitting in mushroom juices. Cold sausage, but was flavoured okay from the bite I had. Eggs were correctly running, but room temperature. The no crisp to the bacon I can forgive, but they were confusingly cold.

After 4 bites returned plate of food to counter and informed the staff I did not want a plate of late and cold food that was missing an ordered item.

Paid for the table so we could leave and realised after I was charged for the returned meal. Main other concern was 2 completely cooked through on the Eggs Benny, yet perfect runny the day before.

Maybe your Saturday chef and barristers don't work Sundays??

Honestly extremely disappointed in somewhere that set a good standard the day before. I'm left hungry and poorer after paying for a frankly pathetic meal and...

We've had many breakfasts here but it's been over a year since the last. Food was good, coffee I think may be the best in Toowoomba, to my tastes anyway, and service was fantastic. There's only a couple of places that do really good coffee, consistently. This is one of them. It was also better than that we picked up from The Other Bird (formerly Finch Range) a week ago. I had oat milk in my coffee and found it less sweet than others, which I appreciated.

What stood out to us today though was the service. They were certainly very busy late morning, and the wait staff were all very young (probably still in school) but they were the most friendly and attentive that we've encountered in a long time, and that particularly stands out when they're so young and presumably less experienced than many others in Toowoomba. I get the impression that The Finch might actually be doing wait staff training still, while most businesses seem to have given up while they tread water until the employment/unemployment crisis is over.

Credit to them. I still don't love their granola (though I've had versions of it over the years) but their other breakfasts are great, coffee is fantastic, and the...

Poached eggs with the big breakfast came out more like a hard boiled egg on both meals. My bacon was cold. Yet my fiancee's wasn't and yet her gluten free toast was burnt and required a steak knife to cut I can't stand the sauce smear on the plate serious. You're giving me sauce with it at least have the decency to put it in a saucer. That's what they are for after all. It doesn't make it look any better its a complete waste When we were leaving we told the waitress about the eggs and all she did was smile and say yes we have a a lot of people mention that.... Perhaps with so many complaints maybe this issue should be resolved immediately Finally the cost of breakfast was ridiculous! I've had dinners cheaper then this 'meal' and left feeling a lot more satisfied at breakfast. We've been to ground up, which is half the price and they're just around the corner and I leave content and happy.

It was pretty ordinary, to be honest. To begin with, my wife ordered the gnocci, which they later said was unavailable. She then changed to a lamb curry & i had the Finch Burger. I think they each one was around $26. The lamb curry was tasty enough but had a big ring around it where it had been microwaved. The greens were a soggy microwaved mess. On top was a fried egg which wasn't cooked. The burger & fries were ok, but lacking any kind of thought or presentation, let alone salad. I think you would be much better off at any pub for that price. We complained about the uncooked egg & they were apologetic & gave us that meal half price, which was acceptable enough. Otherwise, the staff were nice, as was the venue. Ironically, i went there due to this venue being the highest-rated cafe in Toowoomba,
