Last night we got takeaway from Perla. It was our first time. We had a chorizo taco, grande nachos, and chicken enchilada. The food was ready on time and quickly despite being a very busy summer weekend. Everything was super delicious and we'll definitely be back. If we had to pick one thing, the serving size of the grande nachos wasn't quite as grande as hubby was hoping for, although he had worked up a big appetite after a busy day. I was more than satisfied with the size of the enchilada. Thanks for a yummy dinner that we didn't have to cook ourselves.

Stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and was surprised by the delicious prawn tacos! Ordered a Palermo cocktail as well and it made our 'unplanned lunch' that much better! We were also greeted with a lovely lady who was so cheerful and friendly even though she was extremely busy attending to everything in the front by herself and only 2 kitchen staff. If you're in the area, definitely worth dropping by here for some good Mexican food! Wish we have a second stomach for more 😋

Very enjoyable dinner experience. Legit Mexican food. Staff were attentive and friendly. Drinks Dark n Stormy and Cuba Libre were really nice. Tacos were delish. Had four, the chicken, chorizo, fish & prawn. Add some hot sauce! Very tasty. Only slight letdown were the churros. A bit dry and the chocolate sauce a little runny. But otherwise a great experience.

Like two recent reviews below (Julina and Sarah S.), we had a really unpleasant experience with the blond woman who we assume is the manager. It took over an hour for one of our dishes (tacos) to arrive. When we asked the manager about it, she argued with us, saying that "we don't make fast food." So... WE are wrong to point out that entire tables came, ate and left while we were waiting? Nope. I know what normal/ good service is. The gaslighting is not appreciated.

Really... how many customers do you need to hear from before you change how you act?

Putting aside the service, the food was dry and overpriced. Strongly recommend you eat elsewhere.

EDIT based on manager's response: are you referring to the baby food I gave my 8 month old while we adults waited an hour for our food?? More gaslighting. And did we not spend enough to please you? You're really just proving my point for me. I've given you the same feedback as others. Ignore it if you like. ...

As a massive lover of food in general and a HUGE fan of Mexican, this restaurant rates highly for me. The fresh ingredients, authentic tastes of Mexico and perfect amounts of spice... I am all about it. Tucked away in a hidden spot of Torquay, finding this place is well worth it! Recommend: Burritos (I love the jalapenos in the burritos!!), Tacos (my favorite is the vegan with polenta crusted eggplant) and the Bowls (salad or meat, but again the polenta crusted eggplant gets me everytime!!) Big ups from me, Perla...
