Yes I Am Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Ulladulla

Appreciate that you let us 'dine' at your restaurant, even though you said you had NO tables free (place empty) and a reservation booked at 7pm by another customer. It was 5.45pm and you asked if we would be done by 7pm,we only agreed as a group to eat at your restaurant as we thought that would be ample amount of time..however by the time we ordered and our food came it was 6.15pm..not even 10minutes into our 'meal' and you keep coming over to see if we're done and saying 'keep eating'..??!! All because your customer booked for 7pm arrived 45minutes earlier? . Why should I gulp down my food so YOU can cater your 7pm booked customers?. We were 10paying customers,not a free meal!. As a manager it's very unprofessional on your part to have done that,YOU told us to be done by 7pm it was 6.25pm we were only 10minutes into our food and your rushing us,we hadn't even received all our dishes and you want us to eat quickly.I lost my appetite half way through eating my meal because of your constant hovering over the table and 'keep eating' comment. As though I'm a school child and I should keep quiet and carry on eating my meal!! Up until this point i still totally appreciated you leting us dine at your establishment, considering all this, we even offered to pack up our food as we knew you wanted us to hurry up and done by 7pm(even though it was only 6.35pm and YOU said 7pm!)... but I lost my patience when you expected my child to quickly eat or move tables??!! If you were so busy you should have told us sorry no tables,we would have been happy to take our business elsewhere,instead of being left with a bitter experience at your restaurant! And don't bother asking me what I thought about the food, I had to gulp it down so fast that I didn't even have a chance to divulge on the flavors!. My partner and I ate here a few months ago. I've only just gotten around to writing the review.

The atmosphere inside was so peaceful and serene. The music playing was nice and gentle; the decorations and imagery felt so authentic and inviting; and the lady serving us was so kind and polite. When we sat down, there were two other groups already eating, and by the time we received our entree, we were the only ones left, and it felt absolutely magical to have the restaurant to ourselves.

The entree was peanut satay skewers, and I nearly cried when I had my first bite. I had that moment like in the movie Ratatoullie, but instead of a childhood memory, it was new discovery. The sweetness made the skewers unreal! We also ordered jasmine tea which was just delightful to have throughout the whole meal.

We both ordered the red duck curry as our main. The flavours were so perfectly balanced, and the dish as a whole was just absolutely delicious! We've even tried to make a similar dish at home that we had never attempted, just to be able to have a piece of this restaurant at home.

As we were leaving, the chef was at the front desk area talking to the lady who served us. When we came up to pay, the chef asked us how the food was and was also very polite. The whole final exchange and banter topped off the night perfectly.

We told them we would do the 3 hour drive down to Ulladulla again, just to have dinner there again. Although we haven't been able to do that yet, we still intend to keep...

The food was excellent. We dined with a party of 9 people and the service was faultless. My entree was satay tempura vegetables and it was a 10 out of 10. My main was sweet and sour vegetables and tofu, the sauce was well balanced. The restaurant caters to your food needs with half of the group being vegan, the head cook was so obliging. Other family members ordered the BBQ prawn with Thai peanut sauce and prawns in cashew nut sauce. Both very generous servings, well presented with fresh & various vegetables. The Kids loved the fried rice and pad thai meals. Highly recommend!

23.4.25 Returned for a 2nd time was not disappointed. Food was delicious, fresh & authentic. Generous sizes. Service was great & the room was full....
