EXTREMELY TERRIBLE AND MONEY HUNGY PEOPLE. We went there with high expectation however I can see money is all they care about. We ordered 6 meals with coffee with 10% surcharge for holiday which is totally fine for us however it took more than an hour and half for foods. We had to ask them multiple time for the food but all the staff seemed so confused and don’t know what to do. Foods were cold and soggy for all the breads. Big breakfasts were a big shock for us. Paid $30 per meal but look what we got? Is that what you called big breakfast? 2 eggs on toast and a bit mushrooms, 1 tomato, 3 slides of chorizo which is couldn’t be smaller or thinner? There is no bacon and the potion is way too small not like what they advertised. Totally got rip off. Never in my life I had this kind of ridiculous big breakfast with extremely high price. Spoke with one of the staff and she just turned around like she didn’t care. 10 minutes later 1 of the male staff came asked what happened but when we explained what happened, he said he will speak with the kitchen but he never come back. They are too busy with taking new orders and let all the table around us waiting for coffee and foods. Every single table around us all waiting for their food more than an hour why are they still taking more orders????? As you already paid, waiting time is your problem not theirs. At the end we just left without any explanation from the restaurant. I suggested you should chang the name from Big Breakfast to Egg on Toast with ridiculous price. Avoid this place if you don’t want to make a mistake like us. EXTREMELY TERRIBLE...

Spying Native Cafe right next door to The Ruse, we decided to take in breakfast on the balcony, and get a daylight dose of those picturesque Ulladulla Harbour views. With most tables arranged along the balcony, their system sees you choose any table you like. Taking careful note of your table number, you place your order (and pay) at the counter. If my visit is anything to go by, your drinks and food will be delivered to your table pretty darn quick, so it’s perfect for those keen to get back on the highway.

Their chosen Will & Co Coffee has a smoky, almost gunpowder edge in the foam on a strong flat white ($4.50) that makes it very enjoyable to drink. There’s more bitterness in a strong cappuccino ($4.50) moderated by half of it being dusted in chocolate. Both are well executed.

Customisable “googs on toast” ($12) can be supplemented by a range of proteins, like spicy pulled pork ($6). It’s not the spiciest pork, but in combination with their chipotle relish ($4) it’s a winner. The scrambled eggs, made with golden-yolked fresh eggs, arrive with an intact protein net that makes them a pleasure to eat. I can’t quite say that about the “bacon and egger” ($16) that, in a soft sourdough roll, is so big it has become impractical to eat as the burger-style dish it was intended to be. That said, the flavours are good, with the Swiss cheese, baby spinach and chipotle relish all adding something to the usual bacon and egg roll equation. You certainly won’t rejoin the...

We ordered the Chilli Eggs, Googs on Toast (with mushroom slow roasted tomato and honey braised lamb as extras), a Turmeric latte, Rosella Latte and a coconut, mango and chocolate muffin. The bill was $64 - so we were expecting a good feed but... The avocado in the chilli eggs $19 was rotten and discoloured, the chilli eggs were nothing special - just slices of red chilli (no chilli jam or anything inventive 😞 The rest of the contents were abysmally small and too salty The Goog’s on toast $27 ($12+$6+$5+$4) was average, sourdough too hard to cut, my slow roasted tomato 🍅 was $4 for half a (what looked like a microwaved) colourless and tasteless - no caramelised chewy tang tomato. The mushroom was $5 and I got one small to medium salty mushroom - flavour was good but too much salt. The lamb was $6 and a good portion but again too salty and no flavour of honey whatsoever The muffin was average, heavy and 2 tiny pieces of mango, the crust was good and the chocolate was plentiful My turmeric latte was chilli đŸŒ¶ hot and not enjoyable Overall a very disappointing experience as portion sizes were small - this place had 4.5 stars... poor show guys, at these prices you’re ripping people off with tiny portions, low flavour and substituting taste with too much salt - nothing fresh...

This cafĂ© was an absolute gem, highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great coffee, beautiful food, and friendly service. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, making the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The two flat whites we ordered were not only delicious but also works of art, with stunning latte art and perfectly textured milk that made each sip smooth and satisfying. The food was just as impressive, visually stunning and packed with flavour. We had eggs benedict, featuring perfectly poached eggs, crispy bacon, rich hollandaise, and toasted sourdough, all beautifully plated with fresh greens and a sprinkle of seasoning that made it look like a gourmet creation. The balance of taste and texture was spot-on, and you could really tell the care that went into every detail. Between the top-tier coffee, delicious and artfully presented food, and lovely customer service, this place is definitely one I’ll be returning to, and recommending to everyone I know.
