Wow worst service I've had in South Australia. Talk about a grumpy bloke who knows zero about customer service. Good coffee will get you so far mate but eventually people will choose somewhere else where they feel welcome (better coffee or not). First visit the owner took cash but looked very put out refusing a $50 note. Far enough I completely understand that and was happy to find the change. Then next day we came back for another coffee as it was delicious but this time cash was refused. (I had the right change exactly). So we paid by card A few minutes later the owner sat next to us on a nearby table and audibly whinged about customers who want to use cash and how 'I don't have time for it and ''how hard is it to tap a card etc etc'. The owner was talking to an elderly man who also said he only has cash. He complained that he is too busy to deal with customers likey that and has better things to do. Mate you're in hospitality. You are expected to try your best to smile and be friendly. Your only reason for no cash is laziness and youre too busy. Maybe hire someone else. Or just have your customers wait a little longer. I was in no rush and would he happy to wait when you're busy. I am always polite to staff and understand when it's busy to be patient. Many of your elderly clients don't know how to tap and pay or carry a card. If you insist on NO CASH put a sign up so this is clear and customers can choose elsewhere rather than deal with your poor attitude. Very very disappointed as it's the first time we've received poor service in our fortnight in...
Read moreSpend Money Here. Wayne does fantastic work for the community and we All Need to Support Wayne and his good work. In short Wayne doesn't make money from this business, uses the business to help those who are disadvantaged or displaced by society. Being blunt - Give Wayne Money (or simply buy a random stranger a coffee) Wayne will try to give the money back, your response should be "No, take my money please Wayne because Grant told me to give you money" BTW when there I said to Wayne "if you don't take my money I will never come back here" I left the money on the counter & it was still on the counter when I left. it wouldn't surprise me if he simply have it to those in need. This world needs more people like Wayne and more Wood Rustic Roasteries. Do what you can to help, even if that's just chatting to the customers just are making a...
Read moreArrived 10 mins before close looking for a coffee. We called in asking if they were still serving coffee. The young server putting her apron back on said (with a “If I really have to” face, “Yeah”. A lady outside drew our attention for a moment offering her seats. The female server then said to us, “It’s now or never”. Well it’s never, never ever. Thanks for making our choice easy.

Being young is no excuse for rudeness. Being on your feet for seven to eight hours is no excuse for rudeness. And “pushy” tourists pay the wages of your young staff. The customer isn’t always right, but the customer is always...
