At Home Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Victoria

I rarely gave 1 star, however this restaurant was extraordinarily horrendous. The waitress worked really hard but the owner was utterly unprofessional and greedy. On Easter, the restaurant was overwhelmed but the owner continued to accept all customers without any warning. The result was a disaster for all customers, we waited for 2 hours with carelessly prepared foods. When we complained, she responded that she had warned us to order extra entre but we didn't (implying it was totally our fault). While we asked for some snacks served for waiting that long, she didn't answer "yes" but "we will see what we can do" instead. Then she brought us some veggie dimsum that she said it was "chef special" (only one for each starving customers). I just only felt poor for the waitress, she seemed nice, she took the complaint from angry customers and the pressure from the bad boss. I still remember her sobbing eyes when she said sorry to me. Newly renovated Thai Restaurant recently opened in Wangaratta. Ideally situated adjacent to many fast food outlets but offers more of a dining experience. With decent pricing and generous serves, i could see it being particularly suited for families. The staff were ever so helpful and most concerned that it was not too hot for us. They will cook to your taste so just let them know. I had the Red Thai curry and my husband had the Massaman beef curry. Both were nicely presented and we both agreed, were delicious. We had steamed rice as a side. A variety of beers was available and Crownies at $6.50 was reasonable we felt. The corkage for BYO is $10 per bottle. Surroundings are spacious and seating comfortable. There is even a small lounge section to relax enjoying a drink while waiting for other guests. I noticed that it has good wheelchair access. Overall, a pleasant dining experience. Very average. . 😏 I was looking forward to a nice thai meal. I read some of the peoples comments before l went there. I'm not quite sure the name of the dish but l different get what l ordered ,the flavours where meant to have coconut milk a nice thai dish with prawns, there was only 6 prawns in my dish , l thought l would at least get 8 to 10 for a main dish.$22 Vegetable where 95,% under cooked example the broccoli, the sauce didn't even coat the veggies probably it seemed like the veg was put in at last second or just placed on top of meal. The fried rice wasn't nice either, it was to wet. My husbands didn't think much about his meal either . Our meals looked the same.
